Cult of the false prophet: Joe Farah, the Book of Revelation & Birthers who just won't go away

Almost two years after Barack Obama released a copy of his birth certificate -- proving that he was brought into this world on Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu -- "Birther" conspiracy theorists continue to claim that America's 44th president was born in Kenya (or Indonesia, or who knows where), and so is constitutionally ineligible to assume the role of U.S. president. A few weeks ago, the Arizona House actually passed a Birther-inspired provision requiring U.S. presidential candidates to prove they meet constitutional requirements. That proposal was withdrawn, but similar laws are being promoted by Republican lawmakers in other jurisdictions.

Since the Birther movement refuses to die, it's worth examining the roots of the phenomenon -- beginning with the website that has done more than any other to advance their conspiracy theory.

A concise way to describe WorldNetDaily is that it defines the exact inflection point on the spectrum of right-wing punditry where legitimate journalism ends and out-and-out conspiracism begins. On one hand, the popular website employs a staff of professional reporters who cover real stories. But it also pushes discredited conspiracy theories about Barack Obama and has become a clearing house for litigious wingnuts.

The brain behind WorldNetDaily is Joseph Farah, a middle-aged Arab-American Christian Evangelical who originally made a name for himself two decades ago as editor of The Sacramento Union. He began WorldNetDaily on a shoestring in 1997, and has since grown it into a profitable agglomeration of right-wing columns, original investigative articles, oddball product pitches, gold-buggery and an affiliated book-selling business. The ideology on display roughly coincides with the nativist, socially conservative right-wing fringe of the Republican Party, but with an even heavier dose of paranoia and freaked-out America-gone-to-Gomorrah sensationalism.(continued)

Proof, in this matter, would consist of the long form which will offer proof (whether it confirms or denies popular belief) as there will be signatures (doctor, midwife, relative) of when and where the birth actually occured.

People seem to assume there is an authentic long form. The media scum have already started the release that there is no such document, trying to set up the excuse for Barry's failure to produce an authentic long form. When John Klein—head of CNN—posed the lie that all original documents were destroyed when the electronic process was established in Hawaii, then made poor feckless Lou Dobbs repeat the lie on air, it was clear that a cover lie was being produced in stages, to give the affirmative action sonofabitch criminal cover for his illegitimacy.

If an authentic long form existed, in Kenya or Canda, it has long since been destroyed by those who know they cannot afford the truth to surface of this criminal bastard and his handlers. There are literally trillions of dollars at stake for these criminals. Do you really believe they would allow something as simple as a long form thwart their criminal carbon scams?

Hawaii laws allow a birth certificate to be released without the permission of the person named on the vital record to “a person with a valid court order from a court of competent jurisdiction.”

Der Zer0 refuses to release the Birth Certificate because it allows him to cast those who want to see it as morons. This is a game he plays because there is little of his merits that he has shown to make us confident in his ability as President. It is easier to play than doing the job. Instead we see him spending his time making speeches and playing golf. I don't even think he plays a good game of golf. Anyone seen his golf scores? Didn't think so.

That’s because this birth was outside of the country and his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, knew what to do when she found out her daughter, Stanley Anne gave birth. Madelyn ran down to the Honolulu auditor’s office and filled out a statement of birth. This automatically sent the notice to the newspapers and everything was made authentic. This was done, I believe, when Stanley Anne and Baby Barry were already in Seattle, Washington.

This is, I think, the element that makes the Birthers seem more reflexively off-putting than even 9/11 conspiracy theorists. Because their conspiracy theories essentially comprise a secular adaptation of the False Prophecy mythology, they are driven to emphasize all of the aspects of Obama's background that make him seem alien and counterfeit -- including his father's African ancestry.

The above paragraphs are exactly why Rush, Beck, Coulter, Levin, etc. will not touch this issue!

It would peel the veneer off but he won’t do it and so far NO Court in the land is making him do it either. I believe what Beck had to say today. That the country in all eschalon’s is using bribes to get their way and yes, even in the Judiciary. You know things are bad when your judges can be bribed for the right ruling.
