If Major League Baseball caves into the wishes of those who are breaking the law and entering the law ILLEGALLY and moves the 2011 All Star game from Arizona, I vow to never watch baseball again. Who is with me?
After reading the first 15 posts, my suspicions are confirmed. Most of the people boycotting are people who don’t support baseball now. Some boycott.
So let the anti-American Mexican organizations pay the entry fee into the games. MLB will find out who is paying their wages. Hit them in the pocket book and they’ll change their thinking.
I watch it . . . but I won’t if they move the game.
Yeah Stros have already emptied the MinuteMaid Park.(former ENRON Field) I wonder if George and Barbara Bush will start wearing a bag over their heads.
My thoughts too. I place side bets as to whether or not the next action will be a pitch to the batter, the pitcher stepping off the rubber, the pitcher keeping the runner close at first, or an outfielder shooting up a steroid.
WHAT??
You must not know soccer (football)!
Baseball -- Hours and hours of...standing around waiting for something -- anything! -- to happen.
American Football -- Coach calls play in. Eighteen seconds of tightly scripted movement, followed by 5 minutes of beer commercials.
Soccer (real football) -- The beautiful game. The player's game. The game for thinkers. No scripted play. No commercials (except at half-time). True athletic play during the entire game.
Please don't compare "soccer" to... baseball.
As for live games...$30 parking, $8 beer? No thanks.
Try $31k for 4 Red Sox season tickets (that does include 1 parking pass though!)
Where do you park a car when you go to Fenway?

Q: What do you do if you can’t hit a baseball?
A: Play soccer.
Then it's a darn good thing Prince Fielder can hit a baseball.
Dear Sir/Mdm:
I am writing to inform you that my family and I, who are avid baseball fans will boycott MLB for the first time in our lifetime. For every dollar we would have spent on baseball, we will spend in Arizona. I am encouraging everyone I know to do the same and am having a favorable response from all of them.
Your support of criminals (no matter what form that takes, in this case ILLEGAL immigrants) is against everything we stand for.
We have no problem with immigration. We have several friends and coworkers who immigrated here through legal means, or their parents did. We appreciate the diversity the various cultures give our country. However, we feel it is terribly unjust thsoe who showed the integrity and responsibility here legally, to turn a blind eye to those who come here illegally. We believe as do most people we know, that the lack of enforcement of immigration laws is allowing a lot of criminals and drug dealers to come here, increasing crime in certain locations to levels that have become unbearable.
This immigration law is no different than the Federal law, the difference is it gives Arizona the ability to enforce the law, since the feds are NOT doing their job and haven’t for decades. The main argument is that it will lead to profiling, but those who say that have not understood the law which specifically disallows this as stated. I am asked for my ID when I buy alcohol. That is profiling too. This immigration law is no different than that.
I wonder if the bottom line is people like your organization really have no respect or confidence in our law enforcement. I know many of my local policemen and I trust them to protect me over Federal government any day of the week. I am amazed at this mindset, honestly, when it is these fine men and women who protect us day in and day out, while our national government is busy coddling our national enemies.
I hope you will reconsider your stance, knowing that 70% of Americans are in favor of this bill. I bet a lot of them watch baseball. After all it is as American as apple pie. Or at least it used to be.
I missed something.
Is anyone with authority in MLB threatening this?
Or some moonbat on DU?
What's with that? The Pads are off to a great start this year. But the stadium looked empty last night.
I think moving the game would be a huge mistake, but I confess I'm enough of a fan I'd probably still watch.
I already boycott professional baseball, it’s too boring to watch honestly ...
Hey, the Pads are out in first right now...one game up.
There is a large parking lot between Brookline Ave and Beacon St. next to Boston Beer Works.
If you do not have a pass for that lot, you can easily find a metered spot on Beacon St and it is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to Fenway.
Striking multimillionaires just didn't do it for me any more.
Actually, I think baseball is very cool, easy to watch, and a great way to spend a summer afternoon...
I just watched some of the game against the Diamondback (whose games I’m following whenever I can on TV). DBs just beat ‘em like a drum, which I find pleasant. Not because I don’t like the Astros (I used to be Jints fan. The math isn’t third grade on this one), but because anything proudly Arizonan also proudly succeeding makes my day these days.
