CASA GRANDE - A Pinal County sheriff's deputy is hanging for dear life after he's shot by a group of suspected illegal immigrants Friday.
It happened during a traffic stop on the I-8 west of Casa Grande. The deputy stopped a vehicle containing a group of suspected illegal immigrants when he was shot.
He radioed in to report he was shot with an AK-47. His injuries are life-threatening, but authorities have not been able to find him.

Get ready for the anti-gun legislation. I watched some show on the tube the other day complaining about the US gun sellers in AZ supplying the guns to the cartels. I suspect they’ll use this to further their anti-gun agenda instead of doing something about the illegals.

Even better... How about the Guardsmen? Let the environmentalists clean up the coast they care so much about, and we’ll take care of the people who are dying in the meantime... THAT is how we should take care of this problem... JMHO. How about we get a little help from some other countries as we’ve offered so many times before (FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM... NOT the illegal alien and drug cartel problem). Can’t those whale folks with the boats come help, or is that too much of a hassle? I think the whales, and sharks and dolphins could survive for a while longer even WITH folks fishing for them and you should put your money where your mouth is and free up our resources for other things...

I’m not sure why the AK-47 is considered to be magically better than the Glock at the distance normal in a traffic stop.My traffic stops were made with only a revolver but things have changed in over 20 years.That distance is usually a car length or less;and a pistol should be quicker to bring on target unless the perpetrator is part of an ambush.If the criminal has the full-auto version then I understand.The liberals and many conservatives are quite leery of arming the police with full-auto weapons given the usual level of firearms training.

The kitchens in most restaurants are full of illegals in my area. I know someone that worked with them and she advised me not to eat in that restaurant because the illegals were so “deliberately” dirty. BTW, they cannot speak a word of English!
This is a buffet type restaurant and a national chain...it is owned by an “investment group” from Mexico but is a U S based chain.
The illegals hang in a tight group and do NOT like whites and blacks. I will not go into detail about how they prepare the food, but.....I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN....
Word to the wise... check out the kitchen help BEFORE you order your meal. If you notice the people preparing the food are Mexican, (probably illegals) pick another restaurant!

Fox just reported the found the wounded deputy and that it wasn’t that bad, but that he found bales of dope before he was shot. They’re looking for the smugglers still. 5 of them, I think they said.

Bottom line— The Mexicans lost. US troops occupied their capitol in Mexico City and the Mexican government ultimately signed the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. That’s the bottom line.
it was signed in 1848 and allowed the US to take possession of the current US southwest, which the US paid the Mexican government millions of dollars for, and which also guarunteed Mexican citizens who were cauight up in the exchane their property rights in the new territories if they elected to stay. Most did.
The land was very loosley controlled by the Mexican government at the time (with the exception of Santa Fe perhaps and the lower California coast) and mostly empty.
A comparison of the relative prosperity, freedom, and rights, and peace of the two seperate areas today (those lands ceded and the rest of Mexico) tells us which region benefited most.
What the re-Conquista movement is proposing would not only be terrible for the citizens in the areas...it would quite simply lead to a bloody, ut fairly short war...with the same outcome as 1848. property ownership.
This is what’s so humorous about the Reconquista movement; they don’t even know their own history, they’ve just made up something that fits their agenda.
