This is intimidation pure and simple. They know they don't need the police in riot gear at any tea party. They are trying to portray the tea parties as a bunch of violent nuts. The photos are actually helping to show how peaceful the tea parties are.

You've got that right. The Arizona demonstration was just a small example of what the police are going to be facing all across this nation on Cinco de Mayo.

Well wait until the March comes up in May, where like last year, the anti-citizens think they are going to stop business in the US again. But tell you the truth, its good to have a day off once in a while. I mean save a little money on eating out, or using the free toilets, or staying in a motel. OH yeah, don't forget save money on not buying any fresh produce that day too... I am not bashing, just being speaking the truth.

I also think you can compare him with the air port security who are afraid of this little old lady of 62yrs, carrying nothing but her false teeth and a bit of weight. I mean after all, I am 4 foot 11 1/2 inches, so you better be careful. It's still trained and used for civil disturbances (lol...not that the Tea Party really qualifies as one). The South Korean National Police Riot teams are probably some of the best in the world....they're specifically trained for the singular task of riot/crowd control and get lots of real-world practice...

The cops are not happy with this. That gear is not exactly leisure-wear to begin with, and they're standing out under a bright sun dressed in all black. I can tell by the looks on their faces they were wishing to be somewhere else.

 

If you look closely in the second (bottom) picture, over the shoulder of the very last cop on the left, you can see what appears to be a guy in a suit over the top of a black chevy suburban/van with binoculars scanning the towards the crowd, with another one on the ground down the side of the vehicle also looking.

The SWAT Team was called in today at the Quincy Tea Party Rally. Obama was speaking at the convention center this afternoon.

I'll bet those naughty Tea Partiers acted true to form and DID NOT use the n-word, DID NOT spit on anyone, DID NOT wave automatic weapons around, DID NOT call for secession or the overthrow of Constitutional gov't...

I can not believe the swat teams even responded to Obama’s call. They made total asses out of themselves in front of the whole country. Even the mainstream news on the radio is reporting the swat team showed up to harass mostly eldery protestors. That is a great way to make your kingdom the target of budget cuts. Stupid. They need their budgets cut, by the way. Too much time on their hands.
