You know, there is really an easy solution to this mess...
In the case of Arizona they need to roundup the folks violating
the law, feed them well, put them on nice buses.... and deliver them
to the state line of those states who find this such a terrible situation.
That way, they can spend their own money in being more ‘humane’
and it takes the responsibility away from the border states. A good
dose of that would be good for our ‘inland’ and more liberal states.

America is closer to dissolving today, under the socialist, than it has been in 140 years.

And the state of Mexico, which these fascists confuse with a race, is dissolving right now before our eyes. More violence there then in Iraq. There wont be a Mexico at all in a couple of years without US troops patrolling their streets. Which of course means Adios Mexico.

People dont seem to understand that. Not one bit.

You don’t just tear up a contract because you don’t like it. That ain’t the way it works.

But they got around saying they were tearing up contracts by calling it “bailouts”.

Fine.

Nobody is standing near me ready to bail my ass out if I borrow 200K and can’t pay it back.

The guy needs to be impeached for advocating a position that violates the law.

You aren't the only one. I am a California native and I've been thinking about leaving for the last year. I'm giving one more election cycle to see if we can start turning this around, but I'm getting really sick of this.

Texas sucks. But Washington , Oregon ,Arizona , Idaho , and a bunch of other states are great. I even saw on television that Michigan is good for business opportunity. Oh, and of course the commercial for this really cool place called " California" looked good.

Hummm...speaking of illegal governments actions, highly suspect California would have no legal grounds to break said contracts. Perhaps there could be some lucrative law suits against California, assuming of course, they actually has any money left to pay any judgments.

I'm not a constitutional lawyer, but it sure seems like California is exceeding its authority. If they are not in violation of the following passages from the U.S. Constitution, they appear to be in violation of its intent.

U.S. Constitution
Article 1 - The Legislative Branch
Section 10 - Powers Prohibited of States

"No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility."

They may not be passing a "law impairing the Obligation of Contracts," but they are encouraging the willful violation of contracts.

From the site: U.S. Constitution Online

" Reprisal
Archaic. An act taken by a nation, short of war, to gain redress for an action taken against that nation. For example, seizing a ship in retaliation for a seized ship."

"Attainder
In the context of the Constitution, a Bill of Attainder is meant to mean a bill that has a negative effect on a single person or group (for example, a fine or term of imprisonment). Originally, a Bill of Attainder sentenced an individual to death, though this detail is no longer required to have an enactment be ruled a Bill of Attainder."

And how about

Article 4 - The States
Section 1 - Each State to Honor all Others

"Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof."

There is one minor little impediment to Mr. Steinberg’s plan: The United States Constitution, Article I Section 10, paragraph 1:

“No State shall . . . pass any . . . Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts”.

Oopsie.

Nancy Pelosi’s hometown.

Actually, I think she's from Baltimore. She's one of the ultra-lefty invaders that descended on California like a swarm of locusts and destroyed it.

I remember California before they took it over. I miss it.

Darryl does that mean you want to shut off the electricity you get from Arizona? oops.

Yeah, that was my first thought, too. I can't wait to read about massive blackouts in CA this Summer.

Over here in the east, we call it “white flight” even though it isn’t a matter of color. When the criminal and moocher trash are given govt incentive to move in, the productive law-abiding people start leaving.
Large-scale flight from an entire state, leaving it to the trash...if it comes to that, the country’s in mortal peril.

The only way any state(s) are going to get their power back is to secede. Sorry, there are no other viable solutions at this point. Accept the empire and its ruling elites or leave. Those the only choices:

"Secession belongs to a different class of remedies. It is to be justified upon the basis that the States are Sovereign. There was a time when none denied it. I hope the time may come again, when a better comprehension of the theory of our Government, and the inalienable rights of the people of the States, will prevent any one from denying that each State is a Sovereign, and thus may reclaim the grants which it has made to any agent whomsoever."

City workers banned from official travel to Arizona

California is such a beautiful state. It deserves better.

Putrid social sewage. Let's airdrop them in Mexico and endure torture by the Mexican police for illegally entering Mexico in the first place.

See how they like it there.

Yes, defaulting on legal contracts is always a lucrative means to express an opinion in a mature, adult fashion.

Does that include the one to APS for electricity? Or how about the one with Central Arizona Project that supplies the water?
