The assertion that Barack Obama is a socialist became a hallmark of the 2008 presidential campaign.
[....]
Given his conduct and rhetoric as president, we have every reason to reopen the question from 2008 and ask, quite simply, What kind of socialist is Barack Obama?

“The anti-American kind.”
Completely agree. He hates America for what it is, and what it has been.
He’s a red.

Doesn’t really matter, all corrupt governments work the same: a Moscow apparatchik and a Chigago alderman with their hands out aren’t just brothers, they’re twins.

By my reckoning, 0bama is a deep red; a leaping, flaming, screaming, jumping-up-and-down communist of the Maoist pursuasion.

The assertion that Barack Obama is a socialist became a hallmark of the 2008 presidential campaign. It did?
Never heard good ole John McCain mention it.
What I did hear though was McCain saying something to the effect of, “We have nothing to fear from 0bama”.

The problem with this article is it analyzes Obama according to his words. They are “just words”, though, and mean nothing. His actions show someone who is trying to load the government with financial obligations orders of magnitude greater than it could ever hope to pay in order to collapse the system.

I agree with you. McCain always downplayed 0’s “redistributive” tendencies and even encouraged the idea that 0 was a moderate.
And for the record, I don't agree with Goldberg's analysis: I think Alinskyism is much more radical than Goldberg alleges, and I do think, contra Goldberg, that it is a kind of Marxism.

He/Ayers told us beginning no later than 1995 what he was.
The claim more than ten years later by the talking heads that “No one knows this guy, he came out of nowhere” gives meaning to the words incompetent and “disingenuous”
