WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama suggested Wednesday that a new value-added tax on Americans is still on the table, seeming to show more openness to the idea than his aides have expressed in recent days.
Before deciding what revenue options are best for dealing with the deficit and the economy, Obama said in an interview with CNBC, "I want to get a better picture of what our options are."

You honestly think Obama won't figure out a way to subsidize the "poor" for the VAT they have to pay?

"So I've been a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies about taxes. Another leader who is amused or not, as the case may be, is the Queen of England. Maybe Barry thinks he should be the Queen.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president." "The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.
I like this quote. It is going out tomorrow to my conservative email distribution list, plus a couple of retard lefties that I like to jab (including my dumb ass brother and even dumber ass sister-in-law).

It wouldn't necessarily be a value added or VAT tax. They will probably pass a modified sales tax which would not be collected in the disadvantaged (read black) areas. Then the well run 'disadvantaged' areas will get a lot of business from people of all colors.

Re your post 41, very succinct statement of what ails us.
We indeed have a problem with an electorate who would put someone like him (and a host of other Democrats) into office.
Our problem is how to educate these know-nothings so that they can understand what a constitutional republic is.

Yes, it hits the nail on the head perfectly.

A VAT tax has NEVER worked to balance any budget, it only entices more spending. Yes more spending by the STATE and less spending by the consumers because it makes everything more expensive.

The Tea Parties are not working and this COMMUNIST in the WH is not hearing us.
I think we need to schedule national strike days or something like that.

In a way, the affirmative action magic negro agitator has insured there will never be another one like him to stink up the WH.

I think you are right. It’s not about desire, its about looting a nation dry, watching it crumble, and jumping ship before the backlash affects you.

Yep, I’m thinking the same.
Let the conservatives be the ones to take the hated taxes away.

Raising taxes on a persecuted minority doesn’t count. Smokers are smelly.
We need to coerce them to quit by any means necesary and enrich big pharma in the process.
It’s for the children and the greater good.
