Even in the event that there is no political motivation for this incident, and the motivation is class related as this article infers, Obama’s agenda of using class envy as a tool is a top reason for a Republican governor to be out front and demanding that the incident be investigated and covered in the media. The media and the police have now deflected suspicion to class envy as a motive.

The fact that scruffy ex-hippies aren’t attacking well dressed women, without robbing or raping them, in locations other than near Republican meetings establishes that there was political motivation.

This writing makes it sound like the victims inflicted their injuries on themselves. I can't tell if it's a deliberate attempt to mislead or if the paper's writer is just not very good.

Even if the article's author, Laura Maggi, wasn't attempting to mislead and wrote it that way out of incompetence, it still passed muster with her editor. It's reasonable to conclude that this wording is exactly what the Times-Picayune wanted. The editorial agenda--to downplay the severity and nature of the incident for political reasons--was more important than accurate and honest reporting.

One possibility; considering how the police bungled and ignored the situation for 4 days - they both may have cause for legal action against the NOPD and-or the city itself. i.e. they could be lawyered up.
You also have to keep in mind that, with the help of the 4 day lead that police inaction gave the attackers, these violent, psychopathic thugs are still on the loose.

True. Call the NOPD, NO tourist center, CofC, mayor's office, parish and Jindal's office and write a letter to the TP. I've just got one left from the list above. it would have been done but I took time off for this thread.
