Get ready for … Romney/Palin 2012 ?
Hot Air ^ | APRIL 15, 2010 | ED MORRISSEY

The Boston Herald thinks they’ve found the unity ticket for the GOP in 2012. Apparently, Sarah Palin thinks it sounds “serious,” too. The only question would be the order (via Jules Crittenden):

Conservative superstar Sarah Palin opened the door today to joining forces with Mitt Romney for a 2012 White House run – a hot ticket that has some Republicans licking their chops at the prospect of unseating President Obama.

“Sounds pretty good,” Palin declared at today’s Tea Party Express rally on the Common when asked about pairing up with the former Bay State governor – giving the idea a big thumbs-up as she left the stage after her headline speech.

Earlier tonight, as Palin stopped for cannoli at Mike’s Pastry in the North End, she said she was “serious” about the idea.

“I have a lot of respect for Mitt,” she told the Herald.

Asked who would be on top of the ticket, Palin roared, “Ha! I haven’t even thought that far ahead yet.”

Last week editor-surveyor posted this

” The Palin critics would never get away with this, if it weren’t for 2 anti-FReeper Mods”

I rank this #2 behind Al Baby’s “ Need Freeper Help”

LOL!!

I do like W quite a lot as a person. Very classy.

As far as being president goes, I’d give him a B+ on foreign policy and a C- on domestic policy.

You know, if Romney could be a pure figurehead of a VP in the cause of party unity, that would be one thing, a reasonable risk.

The problem is that once Romney was ever VP, he'd have a very large and insistent foot in the door to the presidency, and he's white meat for suckers who fall for Eddie Haskell types, who say the pretty words and look pretty doing it. The guy is like a spider bite that just keeps coming back. He's a vampire. Needs a stake through his political heart.

If Palin is the 2nd banana on the ticket, there will be alot of voters like me who will be voting for her-—but not necessarily voting for Mitt.

Mitt has alot of good points, but I will not forgive him for signing the Mass health care bill. It set far too much of a precedent.

And somehow, Hunter became an expert on domestic and foreign trade. His conservative credentials are close to impeccable.

I think an all-female ticket would be a mistake. It's asking enough of many voters to go for a woman at the top. To ask that they would vote for an all-female ticket would be stupid and unnecessary. Even I would feel queasy about voting for an all-female ticket.

I am reading "Going Rogue." I wish more people would read it. Palin describes governing in a small town, and she's exactly the kind of person I'd vote for and so would anyone with sense, probably. Palin truly understands and respects the moral foundation of less government, of letting people alone, of not using tax money any more than necessary. To the core, her whole political ethic, revolves around front-line stuff. She understands how crippling taxation and regulation is to freedom because she's been there.

My most serious gripe with Palin is her voice, which solely because of her female-ness, is getting shrill. No matter the words that issue forth, when done in a shrill voice, it grates mightily. Sarah, think "Thatcher." Master the tempo and tone of your voice.

There are few in congress that have not made a deal with the devil.

Hunter is no exception. - That hasn’t kept me from contributing to his campaign fund, but we cannot afford a compromise on repeal of obamism.

Palin is the only candidate that can be trusted to navigate the waters of weakness to the final solution. - No deals!

Think we will have to ‘wait/see’. The citizenry IS speaking out for ‘change’ FOR America; as certainly Sarah is as well. There is a better ‘hook’ in here; and expect the Repubs to find it.
