Polish president dies in air crash
A plane carrying Lech Kaczynski, the Polish president, has crashed near Smolensk airport in western Russia, killing all on board, Russian officials have reported.
Polish officials confirmed on Saturday that Kaczynski was on board the flight with his wife, as well as Slawomir Skrzypek, the president of Poland's central bank, Andrzej Kremer, the deputy foreign minister and the army chief of staff.
The crash occurred about 1.5km from Smolensk airport in foggy conditions.
Polish have to wake up and elect conservatives to rule their country instead of hearing the songs , soft words,and threats of liberal european bureaucrats....

The airport us very close to the city so not surprising bystandards saw it go down...nothing curious about it.

Yeah! You got that right....some just jump ahead of the facts though it is interesting to try to bring the dots into a framework of reason etc.
I have to say that both Russia and Poland will certainly look at this whole event with one eye wide open. More to do with how this affects the political climate in the days ahead.
There is always a certain degree of hesitation when their is leadership changes despite how they may come about. I understand from those speaking out there will be no communist President in the election ahead. But Poland is divided in that respect. I am sure Russia will be doing what it can to affect the election when it does come.

I don’t think Russia likes Obama any more than we do, frankly. Even if Obama WAS a Communist - he is not one of “them”. It could be argued he is more of a fascist. I think Putin takes Obama for a fool. I do not like Putin, but I have respect for him in his own way — a smart, worthy adversary in the old warrior code way I guess.
In 1980 when first I ran for the Republican Nomination for State House of Representatives I declared that I did not actually have a liberal Democrat opponent but a Classical Marxist Socialist one. As clearly as possible Winnie, in the real world of politics the truth is never fully known regardless of what source proclaims it as the facts and, coincidences are even rarer when dealing with the possible global realignment of military and philosophical power. One more honest to goodness googleable fact is that as the revolving head of The E.U. President Kwasniewski was the FIRST outspoken Western Leader to discredit the claims of climate change as it refers to Global Warming. As far as my tone with you Madame, I believe it was you who wished to ridicule my statement with a snide little sarcastic ditty which was initially inappropriate; so please keep your dislike of my posting to yourself. Finally, Netanyahu isn’t afraid to go to the conference he merely refuses to be treated with the disrespect he was treated to the last time he came to Washington. You’ve hit the nail on the head as to why I believe Poland needs our prayers right now more than ever. I just can’t help but to be suspicious... As I said earlier Putin has earned that “right” to be regarded in such a way — to ask ALL the questions possible to make SURE nothing is left unturned. All, JMHO.
