Russia media has reacted with horror to the case and foreign minister Sergei Lavrov called for all adoptions of the country's children by US citizens to be frozen.

The kid should stay and the woman should go to Siberia.
What unimaginable cruelty.

"...the unmarried 27-year-old..."
Should not allow unmarried women, or (esp.) men to adopt children.
One should not even treat a puppy or kitten like this - she should be jailed.

“..misleading her about Artem’s behavioural problems.”
Whoops.
Always get to know the kid VERY well before adopting. There shouldn’t be any need for do-overs where adoption is concerned.

How did this crazy woman make it past any screening process?
My brother adopted 2 children from Korea and had to go through INCREDIBLE process (at his own expense of $20,000 EACH TIME)

Sergei Lavrov called for all adoptions of the country's children by US citizens to be frozen.seems a bit extreme, political even considering the infrequency of such things. How many Russian children ended up in perfectly good homes I wonder?

I know some would say Russia shouldn’t paint all USA adoptions of Russian kids with the same brush but I don’t blame them
. I am horrified a nurse could do this. I hope she can be charged with something but I don’t think there is any law she broke.

I was going to write something similar. Why is a 27-year-old single woman adopting a young boy anyway? Is that really in the best interest of the child? Where is the father figure who could have shown this boy a firm but loving hand? I understand that people want to help children in need, but really. Some common sense, please.

The Russian bureacracy moves very slowly in approving adoptions so I’m surprised she didn’t see the little boy a lot before it was approved. Perhaps the “mother” did a good job of greasing the right palms and got things moving quickly.
I’m surprised the Russians would allow a single woman to adopt. It should have to be a couple made up of one man and one woman.

What was the boy doing? Killing small animals then eating their poop?
Mama was a little bit lazy in her responsibilities to evaluate him.

Well, she's just internalized abortion's supermarket morality: "If I don't like it, I can just return it for a full refund." Of course, the kid may be better off without someone who is such a moron that she doesn't know 1. a seven year old orphan boy from Russia is more likely than not to have serious emotional/mental problems, 2. adoption of an older child is hard enough for a stable married couple, let alone a single woman, 3. adoptions aren't test drives.

Russia is actually one of the few countries that allows single parent adoptions. I’m guessing that may change.

How about child abandonment for starters!
