New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie isn't laughing about a teachers union's memo that hints of his death.
The memo is the latest salvo in a war of words between Christie and the union over wage and benefits concessions.
The Record of Bergen County obtained the Bergen County Education Association memo that includes a closing prayer:
"Dear Lord this year you have taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays. I just wanted to let you know that Chris Christie is my favorite governor."
Association president Joe Coppola says the "prayer" was a joke and was never meant to be made public.
Christie spokesman Michael Drewniak says there's nothing professional about the group...

Matthews, Maddow and Olberman are my favorite Obama stooges...
eeesh...what a country.
I am laughing at that one. NOT!
This guy is better off being called Joe CRappola. That’d better describe what he is full of.
BTW, where is the outrage from MSM about this "hate speech" from the left on this then? Crickets chirping.
You mean kinda like how Sarah Paain “targeted” the Stupak Democrats who voted for 0bamacare, and the MSM went into hysterics 24/7, insisting that Sarah Palin wanted them shot?
And in this case, *chirp* *chirp*. Funny how it works, eh?
Public sector union trash doing what they do best.
Life in Jersey Imitates Sopranos Rerun again...
If the guy who wrote that memo changed Christie to Obama and posted it on FR, the Secret Service would be knocking down his front door right now.
...although the details do seem similar to that Pennsylvania case where someone told a State official “I pray you will die”. The court dismissed all charges against him. No stomach for a First Amendment fight over what you are allowed to pray for.
But it's still kinda funny...
Some joke. Not laughing.
THUGS.
If anything should happen to him, we have the culprits.
Just out of curiosity, is it a possibility that the teachers of NJ go on strike due to budget cuts?
If so, would the governor try to break the union?
Plenty of comments like this made about Obama, even right here. Honestly, this isn’t a threat, so much as a wish. And lots of people are making that same sort of wish or prayer, about all manner of public figures, every day.
Darn tootin and now those thugs had better pray for Governor Christie’s LONG healthy life.
The teachers in NJ have contracts with their local school board, not with the state. Christie can’t fire them, because he has no position of power over them. And he can’t “break the union” as Reagan did with the air traffic controllers because he can’t fire them all.
The teachers can only stage a walkout or a strike during the period when they are negotiating their contracts with their boards. If they staged a simultaneous state-wide sickout? I don’t know the legal consequences, but the parents of the students would be furious at *Christie.* He’s poking a stick into a hornets’ nest, and it’s the parents that will get stung.
You'd think with all these "joke attempts gone bad," the rats would give up humor.
And everyone wonders why NJ’s called “The Soprano State”......
Sounds like the BCBOE Head wants to see the new Gov “Sleep w/the fishes”
No. Teachers, civil servants and their unions are jokes— sick ones—but jokes nevertheless.
They are stooges. Oops, I may have mispelled their names. For that I appologize. Let me try again. They would be:
Larry = Maddow
Moe = Matthews
Curley = Olberman (whoop, whoop, whoop)
Kind of like Bush as an ape and Michelle as an ape, I know, the MSM only gets up in arms when it is directed at a Dimocrat but we don’t need to stoop to their levels.
I’m not even going to describe the joke my husband received on his phone today, it was directed at Obama and I laughed my butt off and then said, “That’s bad.”
This joke isn’t going to work much longer because in 2 months Fawcett and Jackson will have been dead over a year.
