The Tea Party Express came to Davenport, IA today (technically Bettendorf) and I WAS THERE! Great turnout, considering it was a weekday morning, and threatening rain all day. And the fact that the Quad Cities is a bastion of liberalism. News reports had us at 500 - 700, so that was excellent! A lot of enthusiasm, but well behaved, of course.
Ironically, this was held in a park named after our RINO ex-congressman Jim Leach.
Fortunately, it never did rain. Great speeches, great music, and LOTS of enthusiasm.
Will be posting some pics below.
thanks to you and Jumpmaster for the pics, sorry could not attend, had to teach, but a good day, got to teach about capitalism and what’s happening to it with this administration.
Taxman Bravo Zulu!
Thank you for all you and your FRiends did to advance our cause!

Pretty good commenatary here from the Angry Mob
I just love seeing this pictures! I can’t tell you how much I love and never tire of seeing pictures of my fellow Americans out standing up for the Constitution.
Wow - good for you. A true patriot. My thanks to you.
Thanks Taxman. It was my pleasure. We will certainly try to keep up the momentum. The future of our country is at stake, and we cannot lose.
Thanks! Was happy to do it. It was a truly moving experience, to be with so many patriots.
I and the fam went to D.C. on 9/12 and I’ll never forget it. It was so great on so many levels.
Great report on this tea party, thanks!
I’ve sent a link to this along to the crew on the tour
Thanks for the report. WTG Iowa.
THANK YOU for the report, IowaMom. Glad to see there’s still hope for my old hometown. The DUmmy presence was just icing on the cake. (”Classy”? I’m sure it was, until she showed up!)
{ping} (Sorry about the large images, my dial-up FRiend.)
In addition to being scenic the site has historical importance for freedom. Back in 1833 a man took what legally should have been his first free steps on the free Illinois island backdropping this crowd. Over the next year he was sent to homestead a claim in the free territory that would become Bettendorf, IA, probably just a few modern blocks from where we assembled. A plaque commemorates him in Davenport. The poor man didn't realize this freed him at the time, but started suing to legally recognize it in 1846. In 1857 the Federal government denied his freedom in the most maligned Supreme Court decision of all time, Dredd Scott.
Thanks for posting the link. It was a pretty good article and video clip. From the QC Times even - what a shocker.
Unfortunately I started reading the comments, which was kind of a bummer. The leftist vitriol from some of those people were disgusting. Not unexpected though. They call names, lie and distort. That’s all they can do.
Cool! Thanks Syncro!
My pleasure, sweetiepiezer.
Thanks newgeezer. Yes, there is always hope. There are a lot of good people in the Quad Cities. Hopefully more will come to their senses. The crowd size certainly was encouraging.
John, thanks for filling in the details on the speakers and entertainers. I couldn’t remember all their names, just that they were all GOOD!
Bettendorf and Davenport have historical significance in several areas. Thanks for the reminder of the Dredd Scott connection.
I’ll go take a look at the additional links you posted. Just got home from work.
So that’s what the DUmp people look like. I always wondered what such foul-mouthed ignoramouses look like. Obviously, they look as evil as they sound, judging from their representative in that picture.
Reminds me of a character that was on Saturday Night Live : Pat. You could not tell if Pat was a man or a woman. I suppose she/he still believes the Lamestream slander rather than her/his own lying eyes.
