VAN SUSTEREN: Governor Palin, if you were vice president today, what would you be telling a President McCain about what to do about immigration, if anything?
PALIN: I support his position on immigration. It all comes down to securing the border. And he who has actually proposed some solutions, the Obama administration does not want to listen to Senator McCain or any other Republican, and that, of course, leads to a greater problem that we have in Washington, D.C. And it's that lack of the new administration's ability and enthusiasm for listening to those on the other side of the aisle who have some good solutions that they want considered.

"I was going to vote for Sarah Palin, but now she's lost ALL of her Conservative credentials by endorsing McCain."
"I can't believe Sarah Palin is throwing Conservatives under the bus for John McCain! Now I'll never vote for her!"
"She can't WIN! She quit on Alaska, and that's all her opponents need to say!"
"She didn't outright say that she wants to deport every illegal alien in her first 100 days of office, so that means she supports total amnesty and open borders! What a RINO! Why she didn't even spit on John McCain right in the middle of a campaign speech when the topic of immigration was mentioned, so how could she be a REAL Conservative?"

(The Left does not devote so much effort into attacking Sarah Palin because she's a weak candidate.)

Exactly, Palin gets a pass for supporting McCain while Jane Q. Freeper would get flayed.
Very few people are giving Sarah a pass on her current position on the Illegal Immigration issue.
IF, as the weeks and months go by, and she does not clarify her position as being totally against Amnesty and for totally shutting down the border, she will lose a large part of her support and will become ineffectual as a power-broker, much less as a candidate for POTUS.
That being said, she has been unequivicol about being against Amnesty.
There is still much to be clarified by Sarah on this issue.
And many of those against her right now, have always been against her even when her position on Illegal Immigration was completely unknown.
Much of the angst and declaration against Sarah is nothing but opportunistic behavior on the part of people who have never supported Sarah and/or have always supported some other candidate like Ron Paul, Myth Romney, Huckabee, even Hunter.

If you guys want to turn this mini-thread into a Ron Paul debate, Im outta here. I agree with -some- of what Paul says, but not nearly enough to want him in any national office. See ya later....
Sorry, but what's good for the goose, is good for the gander, or so the saying goes.

Sorta like Exactly, Ron Paul gets a pass for supporting Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader and Chuck Baldwin while Jane Q. Freeper would get flayed.

Bingo!

I think it's possible to like Sarah as a person, and support what she is doing, (except for stumping for McCain) and yet not climb onto the Palin-for-President bandwagon.
That position does -not- make one a RINO, a DU mole, or a "Paulbot".

Exactly, Palin gets a pass for supporting McCain while Jane Q. Freeper would get flayed. And Sarah should! She is much larger than her endorsement of her former runningmate who brought her on to the national stage, no matter how hard her tiny-minded detractors here try to define her by it. It's insanity run wild.

What a list! I hadn't realized until reading it that we have a member by the screen name of “School of Rational Thought” - oh the irony! LOL.
“Her list of poor judgements (being generous) keeps growing.”-—School of Rational Thought
(Being generous myself and very prone to and known for my typos, her good “judgments” far outweigh any poor “judgments” you might have on your scurrilous list).

That much is true and I made allowance for that in my original post.
However, people like Rabs, who will not answer my posts concerning his lack of objectivity and forthrightness concerning his candidate Ron Paul are a whole 'nother can of beans.

Here’s one you can add from a troll:
“Sarah Palin has a degree in journalism? Why oh why doesnt she get some decent help with writing and with speeches??”

You are the one hitched to the wrong horse. No one especially Gov. Palin is seeing her as a possible candidate for the White House. You, tatown, are way ahead of yourself!!

Trying to follow the different points, here’s brief summary of points I have read :
1) John McCain is a hero so the rest of you must be liberals
2) John McCain is a RINO but that is darn better than being a democrat, so get with the party
3) John McCain is really a liberal but SP must be loyal to him to show her character
4) John McCain is really a liberal but SP needs his support to be president candidate next year or so
5) John McCain is really a liberal and if SP campaigns for him in primary she must be a RINO too
6) You are an idiot if you disagree with ME! (this is the most popular argument)

Mimicking the press? BS, its too obvious that she puts her mouth in gear before engaging her brain. Thats all right in casual speech, but look, she is addressing serious issues concerning our nation! Her mind works fast and the words translate into incoherent psychobabble (at worst) and confusion at best. She almost reminds me of Lily Tomlin yrs ago.LOL

Care to post some examples, outside of the Illegal Immigration issue?
I know I can post a myriad of examples that refutes your sillyness.
To: onyx
Do you ever notice the way Michele Bachmann speaks, and the difference?
But if Sarah is not serious about running for political office, it's OK. People don't expect a showbiz person to be eloquent and clear, or even write.

Yes! He said “I’ll build the g*ddamned fence if thats what they want!” (Either before or after he asked someone “why would I want to be the leader of these “a*sholes?” )(conservatives)
To: TitansAFC
I think this is gone way beyond PDS now. I don’t know the correct term yet but it’s getting real ugly. That’s ok. I can get ugly.
