VAN SUSTEREN: Governor Palin, if you were vice president today, what would you be telling a President McCain about what to do about immigration, if anything?
PALIN: I support his position on immigration. It all comes down to securing the border. And he who has actually proposed some solutions, the Obama administration does not want to listen to Senator McCain or any other Republican, and that, of course, leads to a greater problem that we have in Washington, D.C. And it's that lack of the new administration's ability and enthusiasm for listening to those on the other side of the aisle who have some good solutions that they want considered.

Then we are obligated to honestly oppose her, McCain, Snowe, and Lindsy Grahm (sp).
His own words:
“I believe we must have comprehensive immigration reform. The American people want our borders secured first,” McCain said during a news conference in Mexico City.
“That will require some walls. It will require virtual fences. It will require high-technology equipment. We must secure our borders, and then we will address the issue of comprehensive immigration reform.”
“I am not wedded to Sarah Palin, but I like her best of all. I do, however, have a short list of very worthy others *in my head* in case she doesnt run.”
Heck, Onyx, except for her McCain lovefest, I like her better than anyone else so far!
“Im scared to death that immigration is going to be an issue long decided before Sarah Palin ever gets the chance to have any official input.”
I think Sarah Palin hopes its a decided issue before she has to face it.
Do you have a source that says differently.
Graham only said it would be more difficult, he is still reaching across the isle. My firm belief is that if McCain is defeated in the Primary, we will see the real McCain, then watch out.
A. Encouraged to reconsider?
B. Banned?
C. Warmly welcomed?
D. Endorsed as a candidate for national office?
Has DeMint specifically said that he will deport all illegal aliens who have children born in this country. I haven't seen that quote yet. Perhaps you have.
Sarah will have time to clarify her position as will all the candidates. And any form of amnesty will only attract more illegals.
A day earlier, in Milwaukee, in front of an audience of more sympathetic businessmen, McCain had been asked how debate over the immigration bill was playing politically. In the short term, it probably galvanizes our base, he said. In the long term, if you alienate the Hispanics, youll pay a heavy price. Then he added, unable to help himself, By the way, I think the fence is least effective. But Ill build the goddamned fence if they want it.

That's really a stretch. She will have to clarify on this issue, and I'm betting she comes out four square against any amnesty and for controlling the borders. It's what she's been saying since her book tour started, and until she says otherwise I'm not going to doubt her.
All this fake outrage is from the poisoned well of the Paulists and a few others on this forum.
Sarah Palin has a degree in journalism? Why oh why doesn’t she get some decent help with writing and with speeches??
Here’s what DeMint said about McCain-Kennedy, you know the bill that Sarah gleefully endorsed:
“This rewards people who broke the law with permanent legal status, and puts them ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting to come to America. I don’t care how you try to spin it, this is amnesty.”
In the end, though, is there any doubt he will ultimately endorse Mitt if Mitt is the guy?
Oh, crap
Hannity alos wore out dozens of kneepads supporting Rudy “sactuary city” Giuliani. His endorsements don’t mean squat.
If Mitt wins the primary, I imagine he would. Just as every republican would. Of course, I’m not a pubbie, so I won’t vote Mitt, just as I didn’t vote McCain.
Oh, that's right. Sean Hannity has done several programs from the border and he supports Sarah.
” She will have to clarify on this issue, and I’m betting she comes out four square against any amnesty and for controlling the borders. It’s what she’s been saying since her book tour started, and until she says otherwise I’m not going to doubt her.”
She HAS said otherwise, but you won’t hear it. “I support his [McCain] position on immigration”
“All this fake outrage is from the poisoned well of the Paulists and a few others on this forum. “
No, this is the usual GOP/liberal standard of killing the messenger if they say something you don’t like. Been there, done that.
If you want to support someone that is actively trying to defeat a conservative by supporting a candidiate that pro-amnesty, pro-global warming, and pro-campaign finance reform then have at it. It just isn’t my cup of tea.
