I wanted to comment on your pink button there.

There are actually intelligent, thinking, “caring” leftists out there. It’s not a matter of not thinking, it’s a matter of

where they STOP thinking.

They stop thinking, and don’t think beyond, the step where they can say “I’m a good person because I care.”

Healthcare for example.
1) Some people don’t have health insurance.
2) I can’t (don’t want to) pay for it for them.
3) The gov’t should do it.
STOP! At this point I feel good about myself for “caring”.

In this case, he’s telling everybody that the Tea Party is effective. I attended a Tea Party Meeting last night in Anderson, In. The room was filled to overflowing. When asked who was attending a Tea Party Meeting for the first time, half the hands in the room went up. It was the most encouraging, most inspiring meeting that I have been to in years.
