With the Ohio Attorney General refusing to file suit against the Federal Government it's now left to We The PEOPLE of Ohio to stop the Obama-care Mandate.

Maurice Thompson, a constitutional attorney who helped kick ACORN out of Ohio permanently, has written the amendment proposal for the state constitution and truly believes it has standing to nullify Obama-care. Here is the amendment language we circulated in the initial petition drive last weekend.

http://www.ohiolibertycouncil.org/media/pdf/HealthcareAmendmentText.pdf

In order to get the amendment on the November ballot we'll need to collect upwards of 600,000 registered voter signatures by the end of June.

We have no money and very little time. The odds of us collecting that ma=y registered voter signatures is highly improbable. Improbable -- but NOT impossible.

Our only hope lies in technology, organization, and the networking power of the Tea Party Movement.

1. The petition was submitted on Monday, March 22 and the AG could take up to 20 days to certify and give us the green light. We cannot collect signed petitions until that time. this may cost us 20 days of opportunity.

2. We have therefore set up a website (TheOhioProject.com) for people to pre-register to sign. Once we get certified we must hit the ground running, and pre-registration will allow us to quickly locate those interested.

Needing approximately 600,000 signatures which includes those that will be dismissed) and missing 20 days leaves us way behind! Therefore it is CRITICAL we get as many people pre-registered as soon as possible.

3. Along with needing 402,275 valid & certified signatures, we must also conform to specific percentage requirement from 44 of the 88 counties. From at least 44 counties we must achieve signatures totaling at least 10% of the total votes cast in the last gubernatorial election (2006). Here's a link showing how many are need from each county. Right most column (10%). Using the database we will be able to sort by county and keep a running total of those interested. When we reach a specific number we will contact everyone in that area and establish a meeting place where they can come and sign the petition. We can have spreadsheets printed off and check off the voters, discovering who we're missing. We can then make arrangements to have someone drop by their home to get the signature. No more wasted time outside libraries or post offices, we can actually go door-to-door with those who have signed up. Again, without money or time, we need to conserve resources and be very focused.

4. We must use every available means to get this information out ASAP. Again we need approximately 6,000 per day and we cannot wait for the AG to start finding our supporters. Therefore, please use Facebook, Twitter, Meet-ups churches, neighborhood associations, family, friends, and neighbors to rally to http://www.TheOhioProject.com.

Additionally there will be Ohioans who are not connected to liberty groups or facebook but listen to talk radio. To multiply our networking power we need to have people call both national and state talk radio and let them know about the site and the importance to pre-register NOW.

Here is the list of national radio shows.

Rush 12-3pm 800-282-2882 Glenn Beck; 9am-12pm 888-727-2325 Sean Hannity 3-6pm 800-941-7326 Mark Levin 6pm-9pm 877-381-3811 Michael Savage 800-449-8255 Lara Ingram 800-876-4123 Lou Dobbs 3pm-6pm Neil Boortz 9am-12pm 877-310-2100 Phil Valentine; 800-618-7445

5. GOALS

By this Sunday, March 28, we hope to have 1,000 pre-registered patriots. If we can then encourage each of them to reach out and find 5 more, we'll have another 50k (total 60k) the following weekend. The incoming 50k can then recruit 5 each and bring our total to 310,000 in 3 weeks. One more turn of 2 people each and we've reached our goal.

Ohio voters who want to switch political parties in the May 4 primary must be challenged and must sign a form saying they support the party’s principles.

Say WHAT? How can anyone make you sign a form pledging support for certain ideals?

Virtually NO ONE supports all of a party's principles.

We are becoming more totalitarian by the second (not minute)

Ohio voters who want to switch political parties in the May 4 primary must be challenged and must sign a form saying they support the party's principles, according to a new directive from Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner.

See class, this is what we call "unConstitutional".

Brunner is one of the most CORRUPT politicians in the country. I'm sure she'll win in a landslide (I believe she is running for Senate)....

“...must sign a form saying they support the party’s principles...”

For me it’s never been so much that I support one party’s priciples, at least not all of them, as it has been that I oppose the another party’s principles, at least most of them.

Wasn’t she the crook who gave ACORN a free pass to cheat in the last election?

...must sign a form saying they support the party's principles, according to a new directive from [Demwit] Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner. The only exception is if a voter asks for the ballot of the Libertarian, Green, Socialist or Constitution parties, because they were certified as minor parties for the first time this year
This is actually not bad, because the Democratic Party doesn't have any principles.
