Wednesday, March 24, 2010, was the worst day for US diplomacy in recent memory.
Between sunrise and sunset, we 1) handled our Israeli allies as enemies, 2) treated Pakistani gangsters as our benefactors and 3) got blindsided -- brilliantly -- by the Russians.
First, the Russians: Well aware that President Obama desperately wants to hold in his hand a piece of paper guaranteeing nuclear arms cuts in our time, Moscow has been stalling and brawling to force us to bend to its will.
With a few last sticking points in play (which the White House refuses to make public), the Russian government blindsided US negotiators by announcing that the deal was done and the signing was on the calendar.

Yes, I think about that every day. I think there’s still a possibility of saving things, although I’m really not sure how.
It was like the near-destruction of the Catholic Church by Vatican II. There had been people in place for a long time (some of them Communist moles, some of them simply treacherous Judases) who had reached very high levels and were simply waiting for their moment, which came with the Second Vatican Council. All sorts of things came out of that that had never even been dreamed of by the council fathers, and were immediately adopted, expanded and enforced by these people who had been waiting all those years. It took the rest of the Church entirely by surprise and created havoc.
The same is true here. Many of these people were in place before Obama’s election; almost all of the truly terrible congress critters had been elected long before his election. But they all needed that perfect moment, and his election was the signal for them to burst out of hiding.
That said, I think he’s even more radical and full of hatred for us than they expected. They thought he’d be a figurehead, but he’s leading them in trying to crush and destroy this country, and they are overjoyed.
The Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy is looking more plausible by the day. The system almost looks locked up enough for that part where He hits the Smite and Reset keys on the cosmic keyboard. And our p...resident, is siding against Israel. This can't go well.
bttt
If enough of us feel pain now, enough to see and admit the real pain that's coming and why, we've got a chance to turn it into a glancing blow instead of the haymaker it's going to be.
obama's not a better boxer than we are. They've drugged our water bottle so we like it when they hit us. They have to make sure the drug doesn't wear off before the pain gets too strong or we will win the fight.
I feel like we don't have any time at all, like we will never catch up with the amount of destruction being wreaked by the usurper administration.
It’s terrible and I honestly don’t know what we can do...but I think we’ll know when the time comes, and then we have to be ready to go through with it.
I was watching the English series “The Tudors,” and one of the things was that the Pilgrimage of Grace (Northern Englishmen who wanted the restoration of the monasteries, a cessation of attacks upon them for their religion, etc.) believed the deceitful promises of Henry VIII and laid down their arms - before getting control of cities they could easily have controlled and where many people were on their side. This was because it was essentially a religious movement, whose leaders (who died under torture later) eschewed violence and were desperate to prove themselves loyal citizens.
So I think that our biggest danger is the fact that everybody knows that we are so peaceful and law abiding that even falsely claiming that we are hostile throws us into a tizzy and makes us retreat.
I’m not sure how this should be handled, because Bambi and the Dems only respond to fear - but I’m not sure we’re capable of generating that fear, because the thing that plays against us in their minds is that we are law abiding and are good Americans.
You are so right, and Dennis Miller was touching on this last night. The Left tried to engender fear immediately after 9/11 that there would be a backlash and muslims in the U.S. would be targeted and killed. As Dennis (and I) recalled, only one mistakenly i.d.’d Sikh grocer in AZ was shot. Dennis mentioned how amazing this was given how we had been attacked. The Left is using the same fear meme now, but it’s more like a taunt: “Bring it on!!” Didn’t zer0 actually say that in Iowa yesterday??
I think we are actually being ridiculed for being the peaceful ones with class. But how much can we gain by continuing in this way?
I don’t know. It was odd that I happened to see this video (The Tudors, season 3) last night because I have been wondering about this. Leftists have attacked us time and again by claiming that we are violent, but it is so clearly not the truth that even the press can’t make it stick.
But at some point, they are going to lose their fear of us precisely because we are not violent.
When I think of the Henry VIII scenario, the biggest problem was that he cheated them and told everybody that if they turned back, he would give them what they wanted and there would be no recriminations. Of course, once the people had turned back, he peeled off the leaders (even though this was essentially a leaderless movement, that is, none of the leaders was doing it to obtain power or for any reason other than his skills or ability) and killed them, and this put an end to the whole thing.
What would happen to us if they removed Rush or JR? We have to be ready to figure out our next step.
We absolutely do and I realized that when Rush had his heart attack (that was not a heart attack?). I think we have some well-prepared people here, and I drew inspiration from Mark Levin yesterday when he gave us a great pep talk at the end of this show.
I view Ron Paul and his followers as an attempt by the Left to peel off our leaders and our support, and so he and his lie-bertarians are in my sights as well as winning back a patriotic/conservative/Republican majority in Congress.
FRiend, we are in for a world of hurt economically. But as for our great nation’s future, if we kick their tails in November, there is hope.
Our Founding Fathers were very wise. We are now blessed with tools beyond imagining. Combine their foresight with modern technology, and there are ways we can solve all of this.
