Even though Ms. Coulter is not a Canadian citizen, Mr. Levant, who has been involved in human rights law cases, said it would not be "outlandish" for Ms. Coulter to file a complaint against the University of Ottawa, especially in light of the 1985 Singh v. Minister of Employment and Immigration case.

Ann Coulter is just simply Ann. Glad the audience has been described as "predominantly supporters of Ann Coulter". Now there was a university professor(born Egypt 1943) in Southern Ontario, who supported killing of civilian Israeli citizens if over eighteen years. Terrorist acts presumably.

Update: Officials from the Ontario Ministry of Love have taken Ms. Coulter into custody. Formal charges are pending...

Speaking to students and academics at the University of Western Ontario on Monday night, Ms. Coulter said the email sent to her on Friday by François Houle, vice-president academic and provost of the University of Ottawa, targeted her as a member of an identifiable group and as such, she will be filing a complaint with the Human Rights Commission alleging hate speech.

“I’m sure the Human Rights Commission will get to the bottom of it,” Ms. Coulter said to loud cheers from the 800-strong audience. “I think I’m the victim of a hate crime here. Either what [Mr. Houle] did was a hate crime, or the whole commission is B.S.”

To all, just remember that here in Canada, like in the US, there are conservatives and liberals. Unfortunately, it is the liberal/left that squeaks the loudest and the media (well, most of it) just loves to cater to them (see CBC).

At any rate, remember that there are many here that support here visit to Canada and are disgusted by the reaction of the liberal/left.
