HILLARY Clinton says President Barack Obama's triumph over health care proved he could stick with a tough job - suggesting he would bring similar resolve to ensuring Israel's security.
On a more personal level, the US secretary of state also offered Mr Obama a hug following his victory, after she tried and failed to pass similar legislation during her husband Bill Clinton's administration.
The US secretary of state told the powerful US-Israel lobby that despite recent tensions between Washington and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government, the administration could be counted upon.
"From its first day, the Obama administration has worked to promote Israel's security and long-term success," Ms Clinton told the annual meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
"If you ever doubt the resolve of President Obama to stay with a job, look at what we got done for the United States last night when it came to passing quality affordable healthcare for everyone."

Tin foil time!
As a Judenrein part of Greater Palestine.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Obama thinks he can replicate Carter’s “success” with Begin (a conservative Israeli PM) and Sadat with his own “peace” accord involving Bibi and Abbas. Hussein Obama loves every page of the Carter playbook, both foreign and domestic.
In other words, they will not stop until Israel is in ashes.
No,no,no...that's not what I was saying.Perhaps my post was poorly constructed. What I meant was that he,as well as the psychopathic dictators, knows what Hussein's about.I wasn't suggesting that Netanyahu, too, was a dictator.
Hey...I couldn't get into Harvard.That's why I ain't got too good talkin....
lol...when I saw that post I figured you’d get an earful.
Don’t worry though, we knew what you meant.
The harder he trys to destroy Israel...The worse it will be for us.
Well you do have to admit, Obama succeeded at something both Hill and Bill went bust on.
Obama's got more of that that certain "j'en sais quoi" I guess. What would we call it: gumption? perspicacity? determination? perserverence?
Not that Bill'n Hill lack these-- just that they don't have as much as 'bam.
BJ is little more than a footnote to history, a page or two before the chapter on 'Bam.
Oh 'bam, what a man! And to think he's just getting started.
Fortunately, God is still on Israel’s side, even if the United States government has turned its back on Him and for the moment left His path.
I just wish Obama would talk as tough to Iran as he does to Israel.

Only somebody like Hitlery would call this weekend a “triumph” for Zero. He’s no match for Bibi.
I am so glad you cleared that up. I mean that. I think Bibi, during his first stint as PM, got a little beyond himself in the personal realm. The “I am now an important world leader and my life style should reflect it” sort of thing. It appears he has grown considerably and I think he also knows he faces a mortal enemy in the White House.
We are the ones with the nut case head of state.
This is as tough as Obama will ever get with America's adversaries. If you want tough (or tacky) watch him with our friends.
Wow! Hadn't thought of that.
Suppose Bibi were to share it with Hill?
I just hate to see Bill's legacy diminished. The way things are turning out, he'll be mere dingle-berry on the mangy rump of 21st century annals. (Why is it that thinking of Bill brings that image to mind?)
Maybe the barbell from Heaven will drop on his head before then. It might shake a little common sense into him, but of course he is such a self-obsessed sociopath that I doubt even an anvil from Heaven would make any difference.
How did we end up with this stupid Third World Muslim Avenger spinning around in the WH desk chair?
This woman talks too much.
