Shepard Smith is the DARLING of DailyKos, TPM, ThinkProgress and Media Matters. Why? Because he is a hard left-wing news anchor on what is supposedly the "Right-Wing Network"--FoxNews.
Moreover, Smith routinely bashes Republicans and gives Democrats a pass. Today was no different, as he blasted Republican chairman Michael Steele. But don't believe me...read what a Kos blogger had to say about the exchange.
Then you might want to email Roger Ailes and let him know what you think of his "anchorman"...
I've written more than once in praise of Shepherd Smith as the best newsperson on TV; today he proved it once again interviewing Michael Steele. I wish I had a transcript.
Things I remember include Micheal Steele talking about his new "Fire Nancy Pelosi" website, and Shep asking him, "Who's going to join your 'Fire Nancy Pelosi' movement? The people with preexisting conditions who can now get insurance? The people who couldn't afford insurance before and can now afford it?" Steele sputtered in response.
Then it was on to the language of the Republicans. After a series of quotes including language like "Armageddon," Shep asked Steele, "Armaggedon? Is that appropriate?" When Steele defended such language as the "feelings of the people," Shep asked him, "Armageddon? Do you know what Armageddon is?"
Then Steele got onto small business and how they hate the bill. "Is that the same small businesses who are getting a tax credit because of the bill?" asked Shep. More sputtering from Steele.
And to top it all off, later, referring to Bart Stupak, Smith actually referred to him as "anti-abortion" and not "pro-life." I don't know of a single other newscaster on any other station (not sure about Rachel) who would use that language.
Yesterday I heard him saying that the tea party protesters were yelling and acting in an unseemly way.

Shep signed an 8 million per contract a year ago so he brings in the viewers and will be there for years. Not that I like him but..... Maybe he can help Anderson Cooper remodel the firehouse he bought for 3 million

We hardly ever watch FoxNews and Never watch Shep. That said, Micheal Steele is nothing to write home about.
Shep came from a lib town, Miami, and a liberal tv station there.
The station’s news is liberal, even if it has a Fox logo on its network programming.
I watch Glen and Bret and the switch to 2 1/2 Men reruns from 7-8 and then back to prime time.
Shep’s bias has been overboard the past couple of days. He was brutal today during his tease on Meg Kelly’s show, mocking the Repubs so-called “scare tactics” even giving a shot to Beck with the “Mao talk.”

At 6:00 EDT, when SHep is on Foxnews, I turn to the Fox Business Channel and watch David Asman on America’s Nightly Scoreboard. He’s a terrific conservative, with a son in the Marines, I believe, and takes no prisoners on his show. Quite enjoyable.
Umm, nah, I saw that interview and Shep did not slam Steele, in fact, Steele came mighty close to calling Smith out.....
Yep and Hanity showed his in the 2008 elections. I have no use for FOX News. Until they completely change their host line ups FOX News will not be on my TV screen. Needed to be gone are Rivero, Orielly, Hanity, Gtretta, Shep, Charlie K, Juan, Fred, Matt, and the rest of the boring Panel at 6:00pm, and a few others. Bring back John Gibson for an hour. Give Patti Ann Browne the 6:00pm slot and make it an hour of actual news and let Major Garrett co-anchor it.
Fox has some great tallent in it's reporters especially foreign field but the Talking Heads shows STINK!!! Oh yea someone needs to tell Laurie Dhue that she isn't funny. Once she went with Rivero's show she went down hill fast.
