ORLANDO, FL -- Moments after Congress voted to approve President Obama's health care legislation, Florida's Attorney General announced he will file a lawsuit to declare the bill unconstitutional.
Bill McCollum will join Attorneys General from South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania, Washington, North Dakota and South Dakota to file a lawsuit against the federal government.
"The health care reform legislation passed by the U. S. House of Representatives this evening clearly violates the U.S. Constitution and infringes on each state's sovereignty," McCollum said in a statement distributed late Sunday night.
"If the President signs this bill into law, we will file a lawsuit to protect the rights and the interests of American citizens."
McCollum will hold a press conference at his Orlando office Monday morning to discuss his plans.
Oh, and if they do, I think they should render their decision is a courtroom filled with true patriots, with the President seated in a chair right up front, with the instructions he must sit and may not comment or mouth any disagreement, while the patriots all stand and cheer.
Bruning listens to Nebraskans.
Pennsylvania is one of the two states in our union whose attorneys give more money to the republicans than the democrats.
Care to guess the other?
I will ditto your recommendation that you (Rose) read a little American History and fortify yourself. The battle goes not to the weak.
That’s right. We’re not of the caliber of character of those brave men, but we’re p!ssed, and some of us are ready to fight and die if that’s what it comes to. God and His commandments will not be mocked.
We have not yet begun to fight.
Virginia’s AG (Cuccinelli) is going to sue also. He says Virginia can fast track their suit. He called the process by a name but I don’t remember what that is.
Never, Never, Never, Never give up. ~ Winston Churchill
And as Jesus said: “Luke 18:7-8
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him Day and Night?
Will HE keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly.
However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?
Isaiah 40:30-31 reads, Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; BUT - those who Hope in the Lord Will Renew their Strength. They will Soar on wings like eagles; they will Run and Not grow Weary, they will Walk and Not be Faint.
And also: “And there was a widow in that town who Kept Coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ [4] “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care about men, [5] Yet Because this widow KEEPS Bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her coming!’
In other Words - PRESS In - KEEP the FAITH!
Pennsylvania's AG, Tom Corbett, is a Republican. He's also running for Governor in November. Rendell is term limited, so there will be a new governor in PA, no matter what. The November 2009 elections were overshadowed by what happened in VA and NJ, but they were a strong showing for the GOP in PA. Statewide judicial races went Republican, as did many county and local races.
I was in Harrisburg a month or so back in support of draft legislation supporting health care liberty. I don't have the paperwork at hand, but a constitutional amendment has been proposed. PA has two problematic senators and a bunch of big-city voters who skew our elections. However, we also have a lot of solid patriots here in the Cradle of Liberty. I might add that many tea party patriots in DC these last months have come down from PA on buses . . . we rolled up our sleeves quite a while ago.
Remember we walk by faith, not by sight! These ‘giants’ in the land are but grasshoppers. We will defeat them with Heavens aid.
Ken Cuccinelli is one of my favorites. He has the fire in the belly like Chris Christie in NJ.
Thanks and hopefully he can fast track the case. We need to get it thrown out like McCain-Feingold got thrown out.
Ken Cuccinelli 2012 for POTUS.
Massachusetts? I dunno.
Let’s fight and attack these Rats from multiple fronts and a million ways from Tuesday they won’t know which way to turn. Fight them good Patriots....
Thanks TFOD.
I lived in PA for 9 years (Philly and suburbs of). I wonder if maybe this will wake up all the soccer moms? I kind of doubt it. Obama’s not Bill Clinton, though.
A few of them drove me nuts before they got married and became soccer moms. They drive me nuts still, but from a distance.
I understand your frustration and feel it too. But this is not over unless we roll over and let them win. This is very much the time to stand up against this usurper and his minions in Washington and really begin to fight. I think, in a perverse way, obama has done us a favor...he has united and excited the “silent majority” in a way I have never before seen. If we stay strong in conviction that this bill (and others obama has planned) is unconstitutional, we can beat him and the other socialists in this country. If we concede, we lose outright without even a real fight. I don’t intend to give them that satisfaction! (maybe it’s time for a to watch Mel Gibson’s The Patriot again :-))
Amen.
The War has just started.
This crap can be defunded by Congress by next year.
So get fired up.
Never trust a Democrat for anything.
Doing a Stupek has become a slogan to destroy the Dem this midterm.
Time to turn their smear campaign on Rush...
I propose a set of RAT cards, the way they had it for Saddam.
