Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) has announced his small group of Democrat pro-life voters are swinging their votes to support Obamacare. His reasoning is based on an Obama Executive Order that will supposedly keep the new health care bill from paying for abortions.
Pro-life groups have warned that this move is smoke and mirrors and that the Executive Order is not enough. The Susan B. Anthony list explains:
1. An executive order can be rescinded any time. President Obama could reverse it next week, next month, or next year. Should another pro-abortion president be elected in the future, it could be rescinded on inauguration day.
2. An executive order will not prevent insurance companies that provide abortion from participating in the exchanges.
3. Abortion funding in the health care legislation can be only be removed using the legislative process. An executive order not only doesn’t fix the problem, it isn’t needed to fix the problem, and could not stand a legal challenge.

Honestly I doubt any executive order will be signed. Stupak is going to be punished for holding up Obama’s bill, punished by the pro aborts, pro lifers, and republicans.
He may as well vote and resign immediately.
And he believes him? I am beginning to think that our Chairman has a new slate of Congressmen all lined up to fill the seats we will vote out this year. That is if there is ever another election.
Well, we now have the Stupak-Driehaus bill, owned and operated solely by the Democratic party.
I was actually starting to believe that there was an obscure congressman coming to the fore to be a true leader, patriot, moral man, a true Catholic, a man of convictions. I’m having a real hard time thinking that Bart Stupak is stupid. His vote has been purchased and I am saddened beyond measure.

I still have to believe that when they look into the devil’s eyes they tremble with fear. Something is up. This guy always wins when he’s one on one. He even got the Clintons to bow down to him. I guess he told Bill and Hillary “It’s time to give the devil his due. So, get behind me or get into the fire.”

0bama will sign the EO to great fanfare and then quietly rescind it in a few weeks when the coast is clear. And he will get away with it because the media will spike the story.
