This sounds like a pass to the Senate which would be great. Other’s please advise.
Face-saving ploy #2. Will it work a second time?
Face it, this guy is a Rat and a Rat is a Rat is a Rat. In the end he'll do whatever his masters wish.
...doesn't sound like that Stupak press conference tomorrow was intended to announce an embracing of the bill as many thought.
I am telling you that this is a “spiritual war” right now. The battle is for “life” vs. “death” (deathcare—abortion & seniors dying prematurely from death panels).
This bill will be worse than Nazism. God is in this battle and we will get Him to fight this battle for us! KEEP PRAYING!
Fasting and praying in this house, FRiend.
Man, this is why this is so scary. If abortion is the only thing they see wrong with this, it's unbelievable.
This could be a head fake to Dems on the fence to try to tell them, “This will pass anyways, so you might as well vote Yes so we can give you some pork”, when in reality there aren’t enough votes. Mind games.
God is in all of our battles. Please Lord, let it be evident to all that you have worked a miracle for your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray.
I think we need a PRAYER THREAD!
This would be historic in the sense that it would arguably be the first time that abortion itself was ever voted up or down in Congress.
They are angry because they'd lose the vote. That would be devastating to them to have a rejection vote on record.
One important reason abortion is such a contentious issue is that it has been imposed on America by judicial fiat without any input from America's elected representatives.
If our reps were to vote "for" it, then America would have no fig leaf to hide behind. As it is we have some plausible deniability.
Stupak is waiting 24 hours for the check to clear before he spreads his legs.
Bohners letter to Pelosi requesting all who vote must state their vote out loud....
March 19, 2010
The Honorable Nancy Pelosi
Office of the Speaker
H232 Capitol
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Speaker Pelosi:
It appears the House of Representatives will proceed with plans to vote this weekend on President Obamas health care legislation, despite the well-documented objections of the American people to both the contents of the bill and the manner in which the Democratic leadership hopes to pass it.
This weekends votes will be among the most consequential votes we will ever cast as Members of Congress. As such, it is my belief that every Member should stand before the American people and announce his or her vote as the final decision is made.
With this in mind, I request that you use your discretion under the Rules of the House of Representatives, Clause 2 and 3 of House Rule XX, to conduct the record vote by call of the roll for both adoption of the Senate health care bill (i.e. the Senate Amendment to H.R. 3590, as passed on Christmas Eve this past year) and for the rule making that bill in order.
Thank you for your consideration of this request.
Sincerely,
John Boehner

Ok, I have been at work. Did the official CBO come out? I had read the thing about the doc fix. Is the doc fix part of the real bill and thus making the recon bill come out with a deficit. If so, recon is dead. That might explain this move now. No cover left and the House can’t get the votes with no recon and Senate bill as is. This could be again away to move monkey to Senate.
There’s the question..
Could it be that the love of the unborn will be what saves us all from this nightmare bill? I would love to think so.
Stupak evidently met with Pelosi tonight.
Post ‘35 Stupak nro report....Bohners letter for rollcall vote to Pelosi.
The CBO score is irrelevant. Everything now hinges on how much bribe money Pelosi can funnel into bank accounts based in the Cayman Islands.
