What if Darwin's theory of natural selection is inaccurate? What if the way you live now affects the life expectancy of your descendants?

What makes you, you? What makes your character? Your personality? What gives you preferences; likes and dislikes? Emotions? Reasoning ability?

My genetic makeup, upbringing, experiences, culture, etc.

Kosta appears to not be specifically searching for truth, since he has chosen to disregard the evidence, but his quest appears to be one of looking for reasons to doubt; reasons to confirm his skepticism.

That would be the kindest reading of the arguments.

Certainly you must have a belief in Christ to have faith in Christ, but there is no corollary conclusion that all who believe in Christ have faith in him. Just as not all people who believe in Airplanes are willing to fly on them.

So very true, dear brother in Christ, thank you for your insights!

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. - James 2:19

Wipe out the common ground of existence, and there's no way to tell who is insane. For there is simply no longer any criterion by which the judgment could be made. It's all a matter of "opinion."

So very true.

Thank you for sharing your insights, dearest sister in Christ!

But there is reality that exists that science can't deal with

Please show us that reality. Science doesn't say 'our reality works only for some, but not for others.' The real world works for everyone. You don't need imagination, faith, grace, or a god to recognize and acknowledge the real world.

There's plenty in science that is not material but rather deduced from the effects it has on other things. You could call those magic as well

Like what?

There is a lot of this universe which can still not be explained

And we call such either a hypothesis or a theory, not a factual reality. They are also constantly scrutinized and tested. Their validity is based on experimental proof, and not on faith, tales, grace, miracles, or a priori acceptance.

But everything not able to be addressed by science cannot simply be blown off as *magic*.

Talking donkeys or living inside a fish stomach for three days and surviving it is magic in this world.

Scientists are rather arbitrary in their labeling of *supernatural* or *magic* those things which science can't explain. If they can divorce it from religious belief, it becomes *natural* and gains respectability in their eyes.

Scientific models gain their respectability because they work, and they work on demand, for believers and nonbelievers alike. They don't require prayer, fasting, angels, or miracles to work.

Imagine if you had to pray and fast in hopes your car would start in the morning...

If they can't divorce it from religion, then they label it as magic or supernatural and disparage it.

No one should disparage other people's beliefs. But believers should not claim something for a fact if they can't prove it, imho.

Not for naught, but people who choose not to fly, do so, not because they believe airplanes can fly, but because they can fall.

Analogies drive me crazy. Plus, it's late and I'm bored, so pardon the intrusion :)

Likewise, [scientific explanation is not the] only possible explanation for the cause of an event

You are right. The science says diseases are caused by microorganisms, and the Bible says they are caused by "demons." Now, if you have pneumonia, which of these "possibe" explanations will you bet your life on?

Your question in post #551 assumes that these explanations are mutually exclusive.

Am reminded of John Romanek’s presentation at the Aztec UFO conference yesterday late afternoon. Was much more detailed and ‘impressive’ than I’d expected. I still think he’s deluded by fallen angels . . . hope to get my notes up on their own thread soonish . . .

anyway . . . one of the ‘things’ in his set of experiences is that he’s frequently given to writing in his sleep complex physics equations.

This is a man who doesn’t know algebra and is dyslexic. He’s a bright enough fellow but he’s less of a mathematician than I am—which is a pretty big insult.

Anyway, one of his last ‘written in his sleep’ equations—when shown to the world renowned physicists was said to be about:

“How to use electro-magnetism to warp space and time.”

He had the equations at the conference but wasn’t about to try and copy them. They might be on his website.

http://www.stanromanek.com

He’s written out maybe 6-12 or so such advanced equations that stretch even world renowned physicists and matematicians to understand.

In one case, there was a mysterious word . . . found out to be Aramaic of Jesus’ day meaning essentially “propulsion.”

His case alone had a long list of incredible things about it—with many quite convincing videos and photos and events. Sounds like a movie is to be made of his life. It will be a shocker.

I think even you would have been extremely hard pressed to explain even to yourself MANY of John Romanek's experiences and hard, objective evidence.

INDEED. NO OTHER WORD OF LIFE.

I think folks minimize to the max

Christ’s statements about

HEAVEN AND EARTH SHALL PASS AWAY BUT MY WORDS SHALL NEVER PASS AWAY.

We may not know exhaustively what that means.

However, those words are not exactly complex astrophysics equations.

One either believes those simple words, or one doesn’t.

One either falls on THE ROCK or will be crushed under THE ROCK.

INDEED.

And watching the globalists pull out the fabric of social and political

as well as moral and tangible

SANE REALITY

. . . DELIBERATELY FOSTERING CHAOS, ANARCHY, DESTRUCTION, EVIL . . .

We have yet another object lesson on many fronts and walls . . .

handwriting asserting yet again that

THE GOD OF THE BIBLE IS THE ONLY HOPE.

THE ONLY SOLID REALITY

THE ONLY TRUTH

THE ONLY REDEMPTION

THE ONLY ETERNAL LIFE.

THE ONLY SANITY.

INDEED.

And Pastor Henry Wright has been demonstrating for more than 20 years . . . that when one gets the particulars right with God, usually involving demonic forces as well as behaviors, choices, attitudes . . .

A LONG LIST OF INCURABLE DEADLY DISEASES ARE HEALED—MANY OVERNIGHT—LITERALLY.

I shared such with an organizational President of a wealthy organization such facts about their particular malady—arthritis—severe arthritis . . . and got back through the grapevine that I was considered a dear heart . . . but probably too strange or ignorant to have anything of value to offer on the topic.

Henry Wright has facilitated the healing of 100’s of people with even worse extremely crippling arthritis by helping them zero in on the bitterness and related spiritual roots. The President is still troubled with the arthritis, evidently because of bias, pride. She’s not really normally that proud but in this case, seems to have been.

It seems that OBJECTIVE FACTS have to first permeate the bias screen else they are not remotely considered to be facts regardless of the evidence.

Absent a trademark filing, anyone who believes that Creation happened whether Christian, Jew, Muslim or whatever has just as much right to call themselves Creationist.

And that without being crammed into the *creationist* box of the evos making.
