Health Care Bill Can Be Beat
Washington Times ^ | March 16, 2010 | Editorial staff

House passage of the Democrats' health care bill is not a foregone conclusion despite their 75-seat majority in the chamber. While party leaders such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi and White House spinmeister David Axelrod bravely express confidence, Rep. James E. Clyburn of South Carolina, the House majority whip, conceded on NBC's "Meet the Press" that Democrats don't have enough votes yet.

The all-out effort to ram through the legislation before Easter recess is telling. If members of Congress merely risked being confronted by Potemkin crowds that don't represent the majority of voters, there would be nothing to fear. However, Democratic strategists know these crowds are very real and very mad, and the mobs will rattle wavering congressional votes, especially in vulnerable districts. The latest Rasmussen poll shows that independents oppose the mass of new regulations and taxes by a wide margin of 64 percent to 32 percent.

Pelosi has over extended herself and put her leadership position at risk over this debacle. I bet there is talk of mutiny in the democrat ranks.

We need that rage to sweep the nation NOW so it doesn’t pass. Rage after passage won’t do much but provide therapeutic value.

From the comments it sounds like passage is not a Waterloo, it’s Pearl Harbor.

She is abrasive at her nicest and this is far from that. I don’t know what it would take to oust her as Speaker of the House, but I’d be sorely tempted to try if I were a House Rat right now.

Excerpt:

Democrats are full of a lot of false bravado. Through July, August and October, they kept claiming the votes to pass the health care takeover were imminent. They were wrong.

Democrats still may be able to cobble together enough backroom payoffs or use various tricks and pressure for passage. On Intrade, the largest prediction market, the betting is swinging in favor of the health care takeover, with the latest odds giving Democrats a 70 percent chance of passing it. Stopping this travesty depends on voters expressing their outrage to Democrats on Capitol Hill.

If it passes, I'm hoping that it will go to the Supreme Court....that same group of Justices that Obama pissed off in his State of the Union speech.

Pardon the data dump, but the guys at Hillbuzz have a good idea- besides pressuring our reps, let their donors know how much you don't want their stinkin' bill:

RESISTANCE: Direct all ire at the major Donors of the following Democrats

Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized | Tags: , , , |
[101] Comments

It is our firm belief that the way to prevent the Healthcare Rationing bill from passing is to put an intense fear of the public’s ire into the wealthy people and law firms who fund the campaigns of the following Democrats:

1. Baird
2. Gordon
3. Altmire
4. Boccieri
5. Kosmas
6. Murphy
7. Markey
8. Teague
9. Kucinich
10. Tanner
11. Boyd
12. Matheson
13. Nye
14. Barrow
15. Childers
16. Davis – TN

17. Stupak
18. Carney
19. Rahall
20. Berry
21. Driehaus
22. Arcuri
23. Dahlkemper
24. Pomeroy
25. Ellsworth
26. Hill
27. Grijalva
28. Gutierrez
29. Owens
30. Cardoza
31. Costa

32. Louise Slaughter *added because she’s the one behind this insanity of “DemonPass”…so her big Donors should receive Hell in handbaskets too.

You need to accept, as we do, that Democrats in Congress have stopped listening to their constituents and the American people.

St. Patrick’s Day Open Thread: March 17th, 2010

Normally, today we’d be looking forward to heading out in Boystown to enjoy green beer, go-go boys dressed up as clothing-averse leprechauns, and the general mayhem of Chicago on a city-wide drinking holiday, but we’re going to have to skip the fun this year.

What Democrats are doing in Washington must be stopped, so we’re committing to working on our plan to open a new front against the DNC — namely, to convince major Democrat Donors to stop giving to the party, and to pressure these very wealthy people to call the 31 Democrats we’ve targeted and push them to kill the Healthcare Rationing bill.

This open thread posts at midnight.  We’re going to work through the night to post a rough battle plan and at least 5 Action Items for the morning on how we can get the Democrat Donor project up and running.

Then, we will need your help to spread this idea far and wide:  get it to Dennis Miller, Greta, Rush, Michelle Malkin, Tammy Bruce, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and anyone out there who wants to stop the Democrats from using unconstitutional means to force their will upon Americans.

The Donors are the key, people.

Congress is no longer listening to the public…but Congress will always take the calls of the wealthy.

If we identify who has been funding the individual Congress critters, and the public’s ire turns on them, they will get on their cells and call the Congressmen directly and tell them to do whatever it takes to stop the public from bothering them anymore.

We know these people.

We’ve been in fundraising for years.

We know this will work.

We just need your help in spreading the idea, and the information we gather, far and wide.

The wealthy Leftists who fund the political campaigns of those they send to Washington to rip up our Constitution and treat us voters so poorly need to share the responsibility for what’s happening.  If they don’t like getting thousands of calls, letters, and emails from the public, then maybe they won’t be funding Democrats’ campaigns anymore.

No funding means November will be even more of a nightmare for the DNC than it was going to be, so maybe they will put the brakes on this madness and rein the lunatics in before it really is too late.

THE KEY to stopping Healthcare Rationing is directing ire directly at top Democrat Donors. Desiree Rogers’ ouster proves this.

Please read this article about what REALLY led to former White House Social Secretary (and Queen of her own deluded world) Desiree Rogers’ humiliating, kicking and screaming, ouster:  it wasn’t her incompetence at the Indian state dinner (where she inexplicably showed up dressed as Pocahontas, thinking it was “feather” instead of “dot” or “Cleveland” Indian time “up in there”).  It wasn’t her many trips to fashion shows, or the photos shoots she posed for, where she insisted on wearing “the ugliest clothes possible, so (she) can look completely like a low rent transvestite, which is styling right now”.

No.

She was fired because large, wealthy Democrat donors did not feel they were getting as many perks from the current White House as their donations deserved.

Rogers left important people off the Christmas Card List, and those people then stopped writing checks to the DNC.

We believe, in addition to contacting the Democrats in the House directly, that the public’s ire needs to be directed at the wealthy people who fund the DNC.

American Thinker has an article today listing a couple hundred names/front organizations for the core of the left that might be helpful:

Here’s that list at American Thinker. It gives us a place to start.

I think a huge scale exposure of George Soros would be fun. More people need to know and realize who this socialist, British weazel is. Unravel his tentacles from ACORN, MoveOn, OFA…all these democratic progressive socialist groups he funds and the Tides Foundation…his pet project.

Here’s the link to Louise Slaughter’s top 20 Donors from OpenSecrets:

Should I find contact info for Daniel Lipinski’s donors next? OpenSecrets lists his top 20 donators here:
http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/contrib.php?cycle=2010&cid=n00027239&type=I

There are a lot of unions in that list.

March 16, 2010 at 10:44 pm

Even tho I vomit at the mention of some of these ‘donors’ (Boeing, Time-Warner, Hallmark commies, etc) -
I highly applaud this effort. It is basically an excellent idea. I sincerely hope it can be used in a positive way to ‘influence’ these clowns.
America is disintegrating before our eyes...

March 16, 2010 at 10:03 pm

HB Boyz, did you know this is already a work in progress? ..or so it seems, or perhaps the opposite (donors telling them they have to vote FOR the bill):

March 16, 2010 at 8:32 pm

I started looking, and started going name by name down the list. In the course of that I found this website:

http://politicalpartytime.org/

It has information on upcoming fundraisers for various politicians.

March 16, 2010 at 8:44 pm

I’m thinking of collating information from the FEC website — http://www.fec.gov/ — with the Open Secrets one — http://www.opensecrets.org/ — and supplying addresses and telephone and fax numbers from on-line phone books.

Sorry if someone already posted…I typed in Suzanne Kosmas Large Donors in Google and found this article on big donors for all the freshmen democratic senators…
