"If health care doesn't get done by Easter," says Republican Rep. John Shadegg, "then we need to make Easter look like last August."
It's been more than seven months since Congress' August recess turned into a monthlong town meeting for Americans to voice their strong disapproval of Obamacare. Ever since then, with the health care bill still unpassed, Democratic leaders have been wary of letting members head home for too long.
But beginning March 26, lawmakers will return to their districts and states for an Easter break that will last more than two weeks. Unlike the Christmas/New Year recess, when voters were occupied with the holidays and their own lives, there is renewed intensity over health care, as the president and Democrats make a "final push" to pass their bill. With Republicans planning to hold lots of town halls, that means it's possible Easter could become August all over again.

They’ve written off Stupak and his pro-lifers. They may even add abortion sweetners to attract more liberals like Kucinich.
The worst sell-out, I predict, is going to be illegals. With the Hispanic Caucus supposedly balking, I predict more coverage for illegals will be thrown in at the last minute. It will infuriate the public, but it’ll be too late. They’ll get the votes they need and will ram it through with no 72-hour review. I’ll be surprised if we get even a day to review the “amendments”.
I just hope the American people don’t go back to sleep after they pass it.

Burns is BUYING Murtha's old position with the connivance of the PA RINO GOP Bosses.
Support Bill Russell instead.
Exactly! Burns amd Rob Gleasom, the PA state GOP chairman, are joined at the hip. Gleason continues to praise Murtha even to this day, and he's donated thousands of dollars to Murtha campaigns over the years. Gleason and the state party didn't lift a finger to help Bill Russell in 2008 or Diana Irey in 2006.
Burns is worth between 100 and 200 million dollars, and Gleason is backing him because he will self-fund his own campaign, not because he's the best candidate.
That doesn't mean Burns is a bad guy, it's just that Bill Russell is by far the better candidate and the voters know it.
Sending a campaign contribution to Burns makes about as much sense as giving money to Donald Trump.
And we can hope the anger will sweep out the RINOS.

May 18, 2010 is the Special Election for the vacant 12th District seat previously held by Murtha.
May 18, 2010 is the Primary Election for both Democrats and Republicans for the November 2010 General Election. Only those registered in their Party can vote in their Party's Primary.
No. I will not send money to Burns or support him in either slot.
Second, the primary won't decide who wins the Special election.
So, one can vote for Burns in the Special Election and vote for Russell in the primary.
Russell cannot win the Special election since he is not the Republican candidate.
So, you would rather have a Democrat win it!
