It's early, but Mitt Romney still seems intent on repeating his mistaken 2008 handling of the abortion issue. Here he was today on "Imus in the Morning":

That segment was a repeat. That interview wasn’t from today. Most of the show is, in fact, live, but that part wasn’t. Not sure of the original air date.
What’s hilarious and sad at the same time is how conservatives continue to eat the lying meal the left if serving about Romney. He had no choice as it was mandated 10 or 15 yrs before he ever assumed office. Yet some of our own just keep slurping down the lies thrown from the left.
Romney is a two-faced, two-bit, lying, flip-flopping, Big government, RINO, abortionist/statist political whore!! Piss on him!! And piss on the leftist media too!!
Sorry Mitt, Only your stylist may know if you “dye”, but thanks to You Tube, we all know you’re a pro-abortion flaming Lib.
So what exactly IS false or hateful about pointing out that Romney is lying about his Pro-Life credentials?
I mean, I could do completely without Romney articles until, say, campaign season, but, is there anything false here?
What was mandated?
None so far. It's encouraging to see folks sticking to the facts.
The important thing should be that Romney now considers himself pro-life, no?
Would you support Mitt as strongly if he was Catholic, or Baptist rather than LDS like yourself?
There are a lot more people who support Mitt just because he is LDS then there are those who refuse to support him for the same reason.
Most people here on FR hate Mitt b/c he is a RINO.
zot ping.
The important fact is that people do not believe Romney, he has played the issue and reversed himself so many times that it is clear that he is lying, do you think that he was always secretly pro life or that he was always a dedicated pro choicer until his 2005 announcement?
Got room to add the McCain endorsement to your list?
AZ-Sen. 2010: Romney endorses McCain for re-election (BARF ALERT)

I didn’t much enjoy defending Romney in the last primary. At that point, we needed to rally behind anyone but McCain. But now? He’s helping the very guy I was opposing in the last primary.
I might have put up with a little change of heart here and there from Romney, but now he became McRomney, so he can go do what McCain tells conservatives to do.
And the LAST person we need to run against the zero in 2012 is someone who is weak on the Healthcare issue. The voters are in a mouth frothing fury over healthcare we need someone who is 100% anti-healthcare reform and always has been as our candidate.
Romney was no better than McCainiac. They are both progressives.
Romney's a RINO
I don't support him. But I do support facts over emotion-driven rants.
If I saw another candidate, regardless of his religion, being subjected to the level of hysteria piled onto Mitt, you can bet that I'd speak up.
Mitt is a RINO. But there's plenty of unvarnished evidence of that, so the screeching that sometimes comes out is really unnecessary, IMO.
I try to defend the Church, as time permits. But I don't automatically feel loyalty to a politician because he may be LDS.
Romney lost me, and Reid is as loony left as they come, as far as I'm concerned. Both are LDS and neither have my support.
...I think he was probably always pro-choice. If he’s pro-life now however that’s a positive change, no?
Have another bite.
To an extent, I agree - which is why I cast my vote for him in the Primary. However, his believability is becoming tarnished with me, as it is clear he is now trying to give the impression that he was never really all that Pro-Choice, but was simply a functionally Pro-Choice candidate when he ran for office.
Previously he had given a rather tear-jerking story about why he was committed to abortion rights; the Romneys also donated to Planned Parenthood and he attended a fundraiser for them.
Ultimately, as I demonstrated when I voted for Mitt in the primaries, I am not against converts to the Pro-Life cause. But it is episodes like this which begin to try my faith, those in which a candidate seems to be more interested in rewriting his tale than in simply confessing, apologizing, and then witnessing on behalf of his conversion.
Upon reading the article again, it seems that the title is slightly misleading/incorrect. Although Mitt does not claim to have never been Pro-Choice, is seems clear that he is trying to imply that he was simply a functionally pro-choice candidate at one time, and was never really committed to Abortion rights. That's what raises my suspicions.
Still, for the record, I would not rule-out voting for Romney over Obama - though as an ORIGINAL Palinista, I am committed to a Primary candidate for 2012.
As the most dishonest piece of trash in Republican politics, he naturally draws conservative anger, Mitt Romney is a compulsive liar that will lie even when no one is asking him about something.
Claiming that he marched with Martin Luthor King or that "Reagan was adamantly pro-choice", or that he is a gun owner, or a hunter, or that "I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam", or that Reagan was his "hero", or that he was a student when Mormons dropped their racial barriers against the black race, or that he wasn't running a "sanctuary mansion", or his many other lies and deciets.
Nobody in republican politics is as sleazy as this guy, he is repulsive to people of a decent nature.
