Jamaat ul-Fuqra
Formation
Jamaat ul-Fuqra (JF) or “community of the impoverished”, a terrorist outfit operating in Pakistan and North America, was formed by a Pakistani cleric, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, in New York in 1980, on his first visit to the US. Mubarak Gilani’s intention in forming the outfit was to ‘purify’ Islam through violence.
Ideology, Leadership and Structure
The JF, in its early phase, sought to counter what is perceived as excessive Western influence on Islam. It also concluded that violence was a significant aspect in its quest to purify Islam. In its ideological moorings, the Fuqra regards as enemies of Islam all those who do not follow the tenets of Islam as laid out in the Koran, including those Muslims who they consider as heretics as well as non-Muslims. One of Gilanis works published by the Quranic Open University in the US and seized in a 1991-investigation instructed his cadres that their foremost duty was to wage Jehad against the oppressors of Muslims. Members of the group are described as Islamist extremists with much hatred toward their enemies.
The JF is loosely structured with certain elements working openly through social service organisations to recruit members, raise money, organise activities and carry out propaganda. Individuals selected to live on JF premises agree to abide by the law and discipline of the Jamaat ul-Fuqra. Investigations by the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the 1980s indicated that the JF was composed of approximately 30 different ‘Jamaats’ or communities, more or less mobile in nature. Most of these ‘Jamaats’ are reportedly existent even today along with what investigators discerned to be several covert paramilitary training compounds, one of which had been located in a mountainous area near Buena Vista, Colorado prior to the Colorado prosecutions in the mid-1990s.
Within 10 years of its formation, Fuqra’s communes in the US attracted many Muslim converts-including some of those recruited in prisons. The JF is said to comprise of some 1,000 to 3,000 members in the US. Secrecy is the hallmark of the outfit and cadres are reportedly well versed in the use of aliases. The Fuqras structure is well concealed behind front outfits and consists of a network of safe houses and cells. Furthermore, the JF founder as well as cadres consistently maintain that it does not exist. JF members occasionally travel abroad for paramilitary and survivalist training under Gilani’s supervision.
Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who also calls himself the sixth Sultan Ul Faqr, is the chief of JF.
Jamaat ul-Fuqra is headquartered in Hancock, New York.
Areas of Activity and Influence
Although Gilani, the reclusive chief of Fuqra resides in Lahore, Pakistan, most JF cells are located in North America. Fuqra members have purchased isolated rural properties in North America to live as a community, practice their faith, and insulate themselves from Western culture. The group has set up and funded rural communes that the US authorities allege are linked to murder, bombings and other felonies throughout the US and Canada. Currently, there are half a dozen Fuqra residential compounds in rural hamlets across the US sheltering hundreds of cadres, some of who have reportedly trained in the use of weapons and explosives in Pakistan.
Muslims of the Americas, a tax-exempt group established in the US in 1980 by Gilani, operates communes of primarily black, American-born Muslims in many states in the US, including in Binghamton in New York, Badger in California, York in South Carolina and Red House in Virginia. JF is reportedly linked through court documents to the Muslims of Americas. There is also a road in the name of Sheikh Gilani in the vicinity of Virginia. The cult houses between 100 and 200 people, many of them women and children in about 20 huge trailers. There is also a Virginia newspaper, the Islamic Post, founded by Sheikh Gilani.
Linkages and Incidents
Jamaat al-Fuqra, also described as a cult, is currently the focus of a probe by US authorities for charges ranging from links with terrorist groups to laundering money into Pakistan.
In the 1980s, they carried out various terrorist acts, including numerous fire-bombings across the United States. JFs early targets in North America were ethnic Indians and targets linked to various Indian sects. In July 1983, Stephen Paul Paster, a front ranking JF member, was responsible for planting a pipe bomb at a Portland hotel owned by followers of the Bhagwan Rajneesh cult. After his arrest in Colorado, Paster served four years of a 20-year prison sentence for the bombing. He was suspected but not charged in two other bombings in Seattle in 1984 - the bombings of the Vedanta Society temple and the Integral Yoga Society building. Currently, Paster is reported to be based in Lahore, Pakistan, from where, intelligence sources say, he provides explosives training to Fuqra cadres.
After the Portland bombing, two Fuqra cadres allegedly killed Mozaffar Ahmad, a leader of the minority Ahmadiyyah sect in Canton, Michigan. Both the suspects reportedly perished in a fire they had set at the Ahmadiyyah mosque in nearby Detroit. The JF is also reported to have been involved in the killing of three Indians on August 1, 1984 in a suburb of Tacoma, Washington. Besides, the JF is suspected to be involved in a series of fire bombings of Hindu and Hare Krishna temples in Seattle, Denver, Philadelphia and Kansas City.
US officials in 1989, during a search of a storage locker in Colorado Springs, recovered a large cache of armaments and documents with multiple links to the JF. Among the arms recovered were handguns, semi-automatic firearms, explosives, pipe bombs, bomb components and several bombs. Some of the seized documents described the activities and code of the “Muhammad Commandos of Sector 5,” who were reportedly involved in arms training and intelligence gathering. The documents, including maps and lists, contained details of potential JF targets and victims in Los Angeles, Arizona and Coloradooil and gas installations and electrical facilities, US. Air Force Academy and other military sites, people in 12 US states and Canada with Jewish or Hindu-sounding names. Various JF publications were seized during this search. Titles of some of the publications seized included “Guerrilla Warfare”, “Counter Guerrilla Operations”, “Understanding Amateur Radio”, and “Fair Weather Flying,” and “Basic Blueprint Reading and Sketching.”
In 1991, JFs plans to bomb an Indian cinema and a Hindu temple near Toronto were unsuccessful. Five JF cadres were arrested at the Niagara Falls border crossing after US Customs agents searched their cars and found visual evidence and plans of the interiors of the targets and a description of time bombs. A Canadian jury convicted three American JF cadres of conspiracy to commit mischief and endanger life. A fourth suspect, who had come to Canada from Pakistan shortly before the planned bombing, fled to Pakistan after his colleagues’ arrest, according to evidence presented at the trial.
In the 1990s, JF was more often than not operating under the guise of two front groups, Muslims of the Americas and Quranic Open University. The latter portrayed itself as a religious and charitable educational institution dedicated to studying the Quran.
Gilani has reportedly admitted to receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in donations from America. A large segment of JF members have been convicted of criminal acts, including murder and fraud. With the US State Department outlawing Fuqra and listing it as one of the proscribed groups in its annual reports, the activities of the outfit decreased relatively. The JF supports various terrorist groups operating in Pakistan and in the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir. Sheikh Gilani has linkages with Islamist terrorist groups like the Hamas and Hezbollah. Although dormant in terms of real activity, JF has an active link with the terrorist groups in Pakistan and provides both moral and material assistance to these groups.
JF cadres are suspects in at least 10 unsolved assassinations and 17 firebombing cases between 1979 and 1990.
In 1993 Fuqra members in Colorado were convicted of participating in a conspiracy resulting in the killing of a Muslim religious figure in Arizona.
One of the persons convicted in the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 was Clement Rodney Hampton-el, a Fuqra member. JF was linked in a Congressional testimony to the planning of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
Gilani is now in Pakistani custody for the abduction of US journalist Daniel Pearl. Official sources in Pakistan have indicated that Daniel Pearl was attempting to meet Gilani in the days before he disappeared in Karachi. Pakistani police arrested Gilani in Rawalpindi on January 30, 2002 and shifted him to Karachi for questioning. Although he denied any link to the abduction, police also detained several of his colleagues. Consequent to his arrest, he reportedly told his interrogators that he had links with the Pakistani intelligence agencies.
A media report has indicated that the JF is also being probed for links with Richard Reid, a Briton, accused of trying to use explosives in his shoes to blow up a Paris-to-Miami jetliner on December 22, 2001.
A house in Virginia believed to be linked to the JF was raided by police in December 2001 and two persons were arrested for illegally purchasing guns.
Three suspected US-based JF members have been arrested on weapons charges in the year 2001, including two following the September 11 multiple terrorist attacks. Vicente Rafael Pierre, a 44-year-old native of Brooklyn and his wife Traci Upshur, both JF cadres, were arrested on gun charges and convicted on November 30, 2001. Pierre’s Virginia compound, near the Red House Commune, is reported to have served as a JF base.
A money laundering scheme run by the Red House Commune is reportedly similar to a Colorado operation that was shut down in 1993. Colorado law enforcement agencies convicted five JF cadres for defrauding the Colorado government of approximately $350,000 through bogus workers compensation claims. Prosecuting agencies have indicated that the amount had been laundered through Professional Security International (PSI), a JF security firm, and Muslims of the Americas. A portion of the funds was tracked through PSI to JF couriers who traveled to Pakistan. The PSI reportedly enabled JF cadres to obtain federal licenses to buy weapons. The Fuqra is also suspected of having two more security firms located in New York.
The Fuqra also reportedly has various broad schemes to take government entitlement money and utilise it to fund terrorist activities. The commune in Colorado is spread across 101 acres and police recovered bombs, weapons and plans for terrorist attacks in a raid in the year 1993. Two other communes in New York and California have shooting ranges. The 1,800-acre settlement in the Sierra Mountains in California also reportedly has an airstrip.
In a February 22, 2002 interview, Gilani said his contribution to the Kashmir cause since 1947 and to the Afghan Jehad were on record. In the same interview, Gilani claimed that both the governments of Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) had requested him to mobilise his university students to project the cause of Kashmir in the US through the media by holding rallies and informing the public. To this end, he claimed that the Kashmir-American Friendship Society was formed in 1993.
Gilani is currently under investigation for his alleged links to the al Qaeda terror network of Osama bin Laden and for money laundering from the US into Pakistan and vice versa. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating connections between a small black Muslim community in California’s Sierra Nevada valley, called Baladullah and the JF. The FBI reportedly looked into Baladullah, a community of 30 Muslim families, while investigating into JFs activities at a remote Virginia settlement, where one person was convicted in November 2001 on charges of federal firearms violations.

Gilani was subsequently freed and is not under confinement at this time.

RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY OR MAFIA STYLE GANG, YOU DECIDE!
You have here a man whom many follow, many fear and many refuse to cross no matter what. He has body guards , many different homes and collects money from many people. Always thinking someone is watching him , always thinking that federal agents are going to bring down his empire , and in great fear of being attacked or someone crossing him. No it is not John Gotti, it is Mubarak Ali shah Gilani a religious figure that we all know very well here. I will attempt to describe the way the Jamaat is run and give some tips on the lingo. Below you will see the titles according to rank.
Sheikh
Khalifa(reps or successors to the Sheikh)
Allamah(one whom is well taught in islam)
Maulana( religious teacher)
Ni’eeb(one who is the khalifa’s right hand man)
Ameer( literally a mayor)
nazim(a novice, a trainee one who is on his way up the ranks)
Now you have a hand full of of khalifas, not many Ni’eebs but you have ameers and nazims all over the place. The Khalifas are the ones who usually talk to the Sheikh directly, then pass on the words of wisdom to the others.
Khalifa Atiq A-Shahid is like the ambassador to Gilani.(islamberg,ny)
Khalifa Husaain Abdallah owns 786 security in brooklyn resides in islamberg ny.
Khalifa Khalil Dunston gilani calls him “ his friend” owner of Vtechpro resides in red house, ahmadabad Va.
Khalifa Ali Abdul-Rashid semi-retired resides in islamville s.c
Khalifa Hussein ibn Abu bakr the 2nd, Younger man called K2, resided in NY.
Khalifa Muhammad Jamal nicknamed the executioner or Khalifa MJ who vanished into thin air when Idris mussawir aka Edward flinton got caught.
and finally we have Khalifa Atif we all know him as Steven paster.
Now we have the top ranking men that I know of, I am sure it changes regularly.
Other “ important men are/were Hasib Abdul-Haqq islamberg ny, marriage counciler , also a gopher to Gilani.
Muhammad Ali ahmadabad Va(red house) one of very few whites within the jamaat , spent just about 5 yrs in pakistan married to Khalifa Khalils daughter. property in red house Va is under his name.
Jamaal Johnston resides in Meherrin Va owner of white hawk security, Son of a once Ni’eeb named Musa who also resides in Va. Mother was once a teacher in the farmville area school district.

A TRIP TO PAKISTAN
In 1999 I was asked from a high ranking “official” if I was interested in visiting our Murshid Kamil( perfect guide). I was like YES, WHEN CAN I LEAVE? I soon started to prepare for a trip to a place unknown to me. So in mid 99 I was on a plane with some other members of the jamaat. We landed in lahore pakistan about 3:30am lahore time. We were quickly brought thru the airport via “special guards” later I found out they were the pakistani intel who were close to the Sheikh. We Arrived in a place called Mian Mir village, a grand village with shrines and many people very loyal to the Sheikh.
We walked into the home and a welcoming committee were there, and in the middle was the grand Sheikh, he gave us the muslim greeting of salaamu alaikum(Peace be on you), then He said, Welcome home children. We all had tears in our eyes and we lined up kissed his ring out of respect and then we were treated to a massive layout for breakfast. After that we rested. So then the journey began...
I met many dignitaries from the pakistani military and ISI, political CPs pen pal Khalid khawaja was there helping us,LOL(just kidding CP), we did various religious studies, from Quran memorization to islamic law to mystic sufi studies as well. We visited the schools that the Sheikh had.
We then went into the mountains for extensive studies in the sufi way, We met one white man named Javed, formerly named Atif, formerly named STEPHEN PASTER. The missing fingers the keen look in his eyes , I knew right away who it was when some of the elders greeted him by saying hey nubbs, I guess that comes from the missing fingers from the bomb that went off too early(doesnt sound like an expert bomb maker to me). He stayed around for about 30 min then went off to somewhere unknown. Have not seen him since. All the while we were escorted by armed men with klashnikovs and automatic pistols from russia. A town we went to called Peshawar was like gun city, any kind u wanted u could have, even the banned jewish founded uzi was available.
We got much repsect as american followers of the Pir of pirs. Gun training was on the military bases and also by mujahideen trainees, we met muslims from ireland, england, bosnia, russia and other european countries.the religious training was more extensive than the jihad training, we learned ancient martial arts , we also engaged in some form of ancient wrestling, that reminded me of sumo wrestling. the Sheikh had about3 cell phones, the would ring all the time and constantly he wa moving, he always has gaurds with him and always spending the 30% money on guests and his vehicles. tailored clothing was his style, young african american women as his wives and land cruiser as his choice of ride, I guess if you are a man of God such as he, then u must ride in style. He had servants in his homes, as many pakistanis do, they cooked , cleaned and brought flowers for us and fresh rose pedals when we took showers.
One particular time we were at the shrine of Mian mir Qadri, a sufi saint revered by Muslims and sikhs, and one pakistani spoke to us in urdu and we didnt understand it at that time so the Sheikh said something back to him, then the man said in perfect english to us, “ do u have any money for me” we were all laughing, this guy spoke perfect english and he is a beggar, then it was scary because they found him dead about 6 hrs later, stating he was a mossad agent and his cover was blown. Hmmm how special, a pakistani mossad agent.
After these months we were told that our time with our Sheikh has expired and we will be leaving in 7 days, The last week of our trip we went out and got to shop for our families, we lived and ate like Kings. after landing back in new yorks jfk airport my thoughts were 100% different about all I heard about the Sheikh. I was hurt, confused, felt lied to taken advantage of and angry.
This is the begining of the end for me within the realm of Gilanism. I am being general but if need be I can name times, places, names and description of my life within this group. I challenge any member of this group to call me on anything I am saying. The truth should be told, God is the absolute truth. Moses, Abraham, Jesus, Muhammad spoke truth, why do these people who claim to love and honor these great men lie upon them and worse, they lie on God Almighty. sounds like the only people they are fooling are themselves.

FUGITIVE NO MORE
In 1996 I was already living on the village, everything was fine only because I was a newcomer and they all had their “lets welcome the new guy “ faces on, day to day living was fine. Although one particular family always had “ higher-archy” going to the home, so I inquired about this home, why is everyone always going to UmmSiraj(mother of Siraj). I was told by my dear wife, not to ask because it will cause an uglyness u never seen before, I had no idea what was to come. One day outside helping cultivate the village we recieved an urgent call from the mayor of the village that their was a security meeting and it was mandatory for us to show up. So after the evening prayers we went to the meeting, right away the mayor said, Ummsirajs husband was caught in islamville south carolina and he is lying on us the MOA.
Ok, who is Ummsirajs husband? EDWARD FLINTON. The guy who killed rashad khalifa in Arizona. Now I know why the higher-archy was always going to her home. UmmSiraj was sitting not to far from me and she said, My husband is not a rat, He did not tell on anyone, then a verbal arguement between the poor old woman and the mayor. After the arguements the mayor continued, we will be raided, and blood may be shed because of this.
Then Ummsiraj whom is a bit crippled and her 2 teenage children had to be removed from the village that very night, the orders came directly from the sheikh. We had to move her all night long in the rain. She was crying and her children were hungry and cold. After that Ummsiraj was disunited from the group, we could not talk to her nor give her a ride or greet her or her children. It was hard because she did so much cooking and knititng for the young kids on the villages, and now she was ousted because of something I believe she did not know anything about, women r not included in many of the “ missions” that the men know and do.
After that we as the members of the MOA started being on guard 24/7. Asking if someone comes up here, when can we shoot, yes we were all trigger happy, this is what is taught. Now Ummsiraj has since left the jamaat as well, distanced herself from them and still waiting for her husband to get released.
Sheikh Gilani has always said he never met or knew Eddie, but his faithful wife exposed pics that say otherwise, has a letter written by Gilani to her and the elders stating “ DONT LET THIS BROTHER GET CAUGHT”. Because he is weak and will tell, and they were right, he sung like a parrot.
Now I got stories from Edwards family, the gilani followers and statements from eddie himself from letters in his own handwriting. My conclusion is this: Edward admitted thathe drew up the plans to kill this dude named khalifa but never admitted to killing him, either way it is wrong and he should pay as he is.
The brainwashing of the Sheikh is real, I know I speak from being on the inside and hating certain factions of govt at that time and hating indians , hindus especially just because of the things I heard. I feel for many of the innocent women and children, I am not saying all because one of the higher women is involved in alot of scandal. I DEFEND NO ONE WHO COMMITS A CRIME. I DO NOT STICK UP FOR A MUSLIM SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE A MUSLIM.
So many stories and all are sad, many involve the women getting left behind and the children suffering. I pray that these innocent people who are looking for guidance get away from the Sheikh as I have done, when you have children growing up thinking that a old man in pakistan can see what you are doing here in America just by closing his eyes and chanting some mystical words, then I believe these childrens hearts will be dead before they even have a chance to blossom.
May God save the people from Sheikh Gilani and his calamity upon this earth.

LIES UPON LIES
In chapter 5 of the Sheikhs upcoming biography he states and I quote “ They will protect it so they are not lead by extremists Salafis and Wahhabis who have their own agenda which has nothing to do with Islam. Islam is the religion of peace and does not condone violence. It does not allow suicide in any form at all.”
If you goto www.salafipublications.com there main website for knowledge they are the ones who speak ill if suicide, murder, ubl, and other extremism. The salafis quote the Quran and authentic sayings of the prophet Muhammad, they do not just blurb anything that pops into their head. The salafis speak out against sufis, jihadis, mystics and others who make perverted statements on islam, The only reason he is considered a Sheikh is because of his age, he never had no degree in islamic law from any University , he says he is taught by a family member of the prophet Muhammad named Ali.
This man has been dead for over 1300 years. In the Quran it states that we can marry people of the book(ahlee kitab) meaning jews and christians, Sheikh Gilani states that christians are our brethern, but he tells his followers just dont marry them, they worship 3 gods not 1.
I myself am engaged to a christian woman and my scholars say , He is only doing what is allowed by the Quran. So I find so many hypocritical statements. How do we know truth from falsehood? Next up... inside the meeting about EDWARD FLINTONS CAPTURE !

BRIEF VILLAGE DESCRIPTION
Thank you for the warm invite. The muslim community is a large one in the usa, 95% disregard the sufi way as corrupt teachings so it was not hard to find one that teaches real Islam. I tried to contact other outlets of media such as the local nbc station and CNN, neither of them were interested.
I spent many yrs living within the gated compound with my family, I used to frequent Red house va just about every day, I was a security gaurd for the fuqra on certain villages and was asked numerous times by “ felons” to buy guns for them so they can “ protect” their families. The children within these walls are the true victims here. One particular family was seperated by the father because he was not working and refused govt aid.
The color of these poor children was a brownish grey, they were malnourished to the point where the state stepped in. Sadly enough the Man to this day is not working and the children are back in the home with no electricity and no running water.
Many within the compounds speak ill of the govt and feel that if they see a verizon van or a car broke down along side the village that it is the FBI, CIA or ATF. Now my question was always if you did nothing wrong why in the world would u care who is watching you, but then the rebuttal is we r followers of Sheikh Gilani, dont u get it they want all muslims dead.
This is the mentality of many of the people. Many never met Gilani and the ones who have go thru certain studies when arriving in pakistan. You dont get to “ just hang out” when u r there. Many will try to discredit me , maybe even the Sheikh himself but He is not above the law. The big beard, the flowing clothing, and the knowledge of arabic does not make u a muslim, I never heard Gilani condemn terrorism and i was his follower for 9 yrs.
Some even committed crimes in the big cities to get money then use the money for a ticket to learn from him and become religious. They say they invite all walks of life to the shrine in islamville in south carolina, but when outsiders come, they are whispered about, I wonder who they work for, make sure they dont plant any devices, are there wires underneath their clothing? These questions are asked. I dont think a pious people would be so quick to make strong assumptions upon another person trying to gain a higher spiritual level. Again I thank you for this welcome and I hope these posts will “ Shed some light” on the fuqra the group that they claim, never exsisted.

INTRO FROM THE INSIDE
Glad to see others are learning what I lived for 9 yrs. I am still muslim but no longer part of or have any affiliation with Sheikh Mubarak Ali shah Gilani. I despise his teachings and his wicked ways, they r brain washed into believing that HE visits them spiritually, while all the while he is in pakistan.
His followers give up 30% of their earnings to him as he says “ its for the sake of God, so give. Indeed if u have ever seen his houses in pakistan you would know where all that 30% money is going. He owns land cruisers, mercedes, huge houses in many cities and virtually owns villages. The followers in pakistan do everything but worship him. He puts bugs in their ears, “if they r not sufis, they r spies.”
I got accused of being a spy , the reason? I had a full time job and wanted to goto college.
Many do not have proper electricity, septic tanks and majority of the “older” followers do not work. Many young ones really dont care about the Sheikh and his future plans, many in philly and nyc still run drugs, weapons and many I mean MANY have HIV.
I know of 2 people who died of it , who r buried in the red house village.
Sheikh Gilani himself suffers from diabetes and other things, He has a huge boil on his leg that he says is just a test from God, It may be a test but thats why God gave us medication to treat it.
He also tells his followers not to own tv’s or listen to music, but in pakistan He has huge tv’s in his “ private rooms” that no one can go into. But who would dare question him, he will say: How dare you question the spark of light that came from God.
His followers love this man so much that my ex-wife told me” I love my sheikh more that I love u, and she never met him,so I knew it was time for me to get the hell away from these brainwashed, radical lying gun running people who call themselves “ good citizens”.
Exposing Roots of Terrorism In U.S.
You just have to read this for yourself. It is beyond insane...and way too long for me to post. But if you want to know what evil is, THIS is it.

In a nutshell:
Jamaat ul-Fuqra is an Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence. ... Fuqra members have purchased isolated rural compounds in North America ...

Thanks for pings on your encyclopedic research. You are indefatigable.
Moreover, I’m glad I’m not walking on the dark side. I’d never want you tracking my butt. :-).
From your link:
While visiting Brooklyn I realized that if Muslims were allowed to continue to live in that environment relying on social services assistance, they would never be able to realize purposeful, honorable lives. Prior to my arrival, many anti-social acts were being committed in the name of Islam. I declared welfare forbidden for every healthy, able-bodied person. People were to be reformed, educated, and provided with jobs, in place of receiving income from social services.
I moved them out from the ghettoes of many major American cities, purchasing property in rural areas, with the intent of establishing serene Muslim villages. Since then, other Islamic organizations have followed our example.
......”Muslims of the Americas, a tax-exempt group established in the US in 1980 by Gilani, operates communes of primarily black, American-born Muslims in many states in the US”........
Can any here see the black community listing themselves as muslim in order to renig on insurance and fees if not obtaining insurance?
Bad infectious diseases on the rise, drugs that control them are becoming harder to acquire and foreign invaders are getting bolder!
Wake the hell up, out there!!
THAT was a knock-your-socks off post. Thanks MM. Educational to say the very least.

We keep hearing that the Taliban is merely a nationalist insurgency seeking only to reinstall itself in power in Afghanistan, it is looking to shrug off al Qaeda, and it has little interest in the greater international jihad. Past statements by senior Taliban and al Qaeda leaders prove that is false. As should this Taliban endorsement of the Al Fallujah Forum, one of the top forums on the Internet used to promote jihadist propaganda. The translation below is from Flashpoint Partners:
Our dear brothers, the Media Committee of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers al‐Fallujah Islamic Network Forums as a valuable podium from the Jihadist media podiums, and the administrator brothers are from the brothers who we depend on and trust their noble services that they sacrifice in servitude of jihad and the mujahideen, and we appreciate them wholeheartedly.
We also demand from the administrator brothers on it [Fallujah] and the administrators of the other jihadist networks to support the Islamic Emirate and assist it in carrying out its media mission with all of that which is possible, and we demand them to unite their efforts and direct all of their media efficiencies to counter the international Kufr.

Snip: Islamabad itself is deceptive. There is plenty of overt security, with police checkpoints, roadblocks and well-armed private security guards everywhere.
But it's not Kabul, a city heavily occupied by the military from 40 foreign nations, where it's now lunacy to walk around after dark.
In the leafy Islamabad suburb where I'm staying, last night I walked through the back streets to a beautiful outdoor restaurant. A gaggle of male and female teenagers, planning their night ahead, shouted a friendly welcome as I walked past.
At the end of the road is a market with a collection of cavernous, fabulous bookshops, bursting with an extraordinary range of titles.
There are whole sections on Jihadi literature and every strand of Islamic philosophy, as well as current affairs from every conceivable viewpoint - pro-Pakistan, pro-India, pro-West. It's a reflection of the ferocious appetite for education.
Enshrinement of sharia a major threat
Snip: "Islam's goal is to Islamize the entire country -- to take the territory and to claim it for Islam," she explains. "So any of these things that we see happening where Islamists are complaining about offense, like with Franklin Graham coming to the Day of Prayer -- it's just a little bit more territory that they're taking." McDonnell says Christians must speak out for those whose rights could be jeopardized by the imposition of Islamic law. "Living in tolerance of other faith groups does not require Christians to give in to every demand for the sake of political correctness," she says in a press release.
It is time for the West in general to stop bowing to Islamic demands, she adds.
"Christians and non-Muslims in the West are concerned that we be tolerant, that we show cultural sensitivity," she points out. "Well, they need to think especially about [Islam's treatment of] women when they're saying 'Be tolerant.' It's not tolerant to be tolerant of intolerance."
Churches, she concludes, should resist any efforts to create different courts and law codes for different religious groups.

Latinos embracing Islam, but
‘dirty bomb’ case brings unwanted attention
By Daniel González
Arizona Republic
June 28, 2002
Melissa Morales, a Latina born in Puerto Rico, was eating in a local Mexican restaurant recently when the waiter wanted to know why she covered her head in a long black scarf.
“Eres monjita?” the Spanish-speaking waiter asked. Are you a nun?
Her answer caught the waiter by surprise. No, she told him. Not a nun, a Muslim.
Latinos and Islam may seem like a strange combination to most, primarily because Catholicism is so deeply embedded in Latino culture. But the combination is less unusual, believers point out, in light of the fact that beginning in the year 711, Muslims from North Africa occupied Spain for more than seven centuries.
Still, the estimated 40,000 Latino Muslims in the United States remained far off the country’s cultural radar until earlier this month when a Latino Muslim named Jose Padilla was accused by federal authorities of plotting with Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaida terrorist network to detonate a radioactive “dirty bomb” on U.S. soil.
Authorities said Padilla, the Brooklyn-born son of Puerto Rican parents, was raised a Catholic, but converted to Islam.
Padilla’s arrest did not bring the kind of attention the small but growing number of Latino Muslims want. They are quick to defend their religion as peaceful.
“Islam is peace. Islam is not terrorism,” said Morales, 25, an elementary school teacher at the Tempe Islamic Cultural Center.
There is no Latino Muslim organization in the Phoenix area, and Morales said she has encountered fewer than 50 Latino Muslims.
She also wondered why Padilla’s ethnicity and citizenship became an issue when John Walker Lindh’s has not. Lindh is the 20-year-old American from California who converted to Islam and is accused of conspiring with Taliban forces in Afghanistan to kill fellow Americans.
“Why do we have to categorize (Padilla) because he’s Latino? Why don’t we do that with John Walker?” asked Morales, pointing out that Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens by birth.
The world’s 1 billion Muslims believe that Islam is the one true religion and that there is only one God, Allah, whose revelations revealed in the seventh century to the Prophet Mohammed are contained in Islam’s sacred book, the Koran.
Padilla’s arrest shocked many Latino Muslims, including Juan Galvan, vice president of the national Latino American Dawah Organization.
Dawah means “the call to Allah” in Arabic, and the organization works to promote Islam to Latinos.
Galvan believes the publicity over Padilla’s arrest only added to negative perceptions about both Islam and Latinos.
“Islam is always associated with something negative,” said Galvan, 27, of Austin, who also heads the Texas chapter of the Latino American Dawah Organization. “Of all the people who had to get themselves in trouble, this guy turns out to be Latino.”
Islam is the nation’s fastest growing religion and in many ways the reasons Latinos are converting to Islam are no different than those of others.
Some, like Veronica Ramirez, 36, of Tempe and Lucy Chapa, 32, of Phoenix, were raised Roman Catholic but became disenchanted with many of Catholicism’s tenets.
“I was practicing Catholicism, but in my mind there were always doubts,” Ramirez said. “One of my questions was the Trinity. How could one person be three?”
Ramirez, a native of Mexico, said a Muslim friend from Lebanon first introduced her to Islam in college. She said she was attracted to the faith’s practicality.
“For every rule there is a reason. It’s not just ‘because,’ “ Ramirez said.
Chapa had never heard of Islam until she met a Muslim man while traveling in Europe seven years ago.
Other Latino Muslims like Sheila Roman, 36, of Tempe and Katherine Muhammad, 30, of Phoenix converted to Islam after marrying Muslims.
“My converting was not for my husband,” said Roman, a native of Puerto Rico. “It was by choice.”
Morales, a former Pentecostal missionary, prefers to say she “reverted” to Islam rather than converted.
In fact, she said, many Latinos who embrace Islam feel that they are reclaiming their Islamic heritage, not rejecting Latino culture.
“Latino people,” she said, “have a legacy of Islam in Spain.”
In the company of each other, they often blend three cultures, greeting each other with the traditional Muslim greeting “salaam alaykum” while conversing in Spanish and English.

In 2007, there were over 5,000 Muslims in Puerto Rico, representing about 0.13% of the population. There are eight Islamic mosques spread throughout the island, with most Muslims living in Río Piedras.
Puerto Rican converts to Islam continues to occur. “Ties between Latinos and Islam are more than just spiritual, but date back to Spanish history. Many people do not realize that Muslims ruled Spain for more than 700 years”. And at times not just individuals, but whole families convert. However, lack of Muslim education in the Island forces some Puerto Rican Muslims to migrate to the States.
Many Latino Muslims who claim Islamic roots point out that Islam’s influence on Latin America is not new. They point to the African/Islamic influence evident in Spanish literature, music and thought. Thousands of Spanish words, for example, are derived from Arabic. In Latino culture, especially language, there are lots of Arabisms.
***Islam was brought into Puerto Rico mainly via the Palestinian migration of the 1950s and ‘60s. Thus, today there is a strong Palestinian presence among Muslims in Puerto Rico. “They are economically strong and are thus able to pay for a full time Imaam”.

Islam Luring More Latinos
The steadily increasing number of Latino Muslims illustrates how deeply rooted Islam has become in the America landscape - even spreading to communities not normally associated with the faith, religious scholars say.
By Chris L. Jenkins, Washington Post, January 7, 2001
At dusk, Aminah Martinez prepares dinner in her small Fairfax kitchen. Corn tortillas for enchiladas, grated cheese and beef for tacos, maybe an avocado for guacamole — all staples of her youth.
But dusk is also time for prayer. So every evening, with her husband and two children, she places her hands together and kneels to the east. It is Maghrib, Muslims’ fourth prayer of the day, and she begins whispering in Arabic as the subtle aromas of Mexico mix with sounds often associated with the Middle East.
Martinez is one of the thousands of Latinos nationwide who have converted to Islam. It is an amalgam of two seemingly disparate communities. But in growing numbers, Hispanics, the country’s fastest-growing ethnic group, are finding new faith in Islam, the nation’s fastest-growing religion. Moved by what many say is a close-knit religious environment and a faith that provides a more concrete, intimate connection with God, they are replacing Mass with mosques.
“Islam has given me a sense of religious community and well-being that I was starting to miss in my life,” said Martinez, 26, who converted from Catholicism in 1993. “It’s helped give me a sense of completion.”
The steadily increasing number of Latino Muslims illustrates how deeply rooted Islam has become in the national landscape — even spreading to communities not normally associated with the faith, religious scholars say. The Muslim population in the United States is estimated at more than 4 million, nearly six times the number in 1970, but still a fraction of the nearly 1 billion Muslims worldwide.
Although exact numbers are difficult to find, the American Muslim Council, an advocacy group in Washington, estimates that there are 25,000 Hispanic Muslims in the United States. The largest communities are in New York City, Southern California and Chicago — all places that traditionally have had large Hispanic and Muslim populations. All-Spanish mosques have emerged in some of those areas.
Many of the converts say they are choosing Islam because they feel the religion gives them greater direct contact with God, without saints and a rigid church hierarchy. Some also point to what they see as a closer-knit, smaller community that helps replace the extended family they have lost here in America, as well as a supportive sanctuary to help sort through their sometimes recent immigration. The Latino Muslims are part of a larger trend of American Hispanics leaving the Catholic Church, experts say.
In the Washington region, the population of Latino Muslims is largely from Mexico and Central America, as it is in western states, according to Latin American Muslim Unity, an advocacy group in Fresno, Calif. In other eastern cities, including Miami, significant numbers of converts are from Puerto Rico and Cuba.
“It certainly is a community that we have seen grow throughout the country over the past several years,” said Aly R. Abuzaakouk, executive director of the American Muslim Council. “The community is not as organized as other Muslim groups here, so sometimes it’s hard to determine the numbers.”
Signs of the growth of Islam in the United States can be seen in everyday life. A few colleges are building student centers for Muslims, just as they built Hillel centers for Jewish students or Newman centers for Catholics several generations ago. The White House now sends greetings for the Muslim holiday of Id al-Fitr, the feast that ends Ramadan.
“I think on college campuses and other public spaces, you’re finding a greater acceptance of the views and the presence of Muslims,” said John L. Esposito, a professor at Georgetown University and director of its Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. “A generation ago you might use the phrase ‘Islam and the West,’ and now you would say ‘Islam in the West.’ “
Indeed, acceptance and exposure are fueling the conversions, making it easier for Latinos to learn about Islam. Martinez, for example, converted when she was a student at the University of Texas in Austin. The eldest child in a strict Catholic household, she says Islam was largely alien to her until she began talking with Muslim students on campus. Like many Hispanics who have converted, she said she felt a distance from the Catholic Church, both as a religious community and a spiritual path.
“Growing up, I was a very devout Catholic. . . . Youth groups and everything,” Martinez said. “But as I got older, I felt there were too many distractions in the church. Islam, to me, was a more direct faith where I felt a strong sense of belonging.”
Her faith was tested immediately. Martinez’s grandmother was so disappointed by the conversion that she asked her granddaughter to leave her home and refused to support her financially. She saw the defection from Catholicism as a rejection of family and tradition, Martinez said. It would be a year before the two would reconcile.
Such stories are common among Latinos who have abandoned Catholicism for Islam.
Others have had a smoother transition. Becky Diaz Abu Ghannam, 39, a Chilean American resident of Sterling who converted in 1984, said that she grew up feeling that Catholicism did not provide the close-knit religious community she was looking for. As she became more aware of Islam when she came to America, she found that it provided a warmth and direction that appealed to her — particularly the five daily prayers. Initially, like many other Hispanic women interviewed, she was concerned about the role of women in Islam and whether she would be forced to take a subservient position to her husband, who is also Muslim, and other men. Her fears subsided as she learned more about the Koran and its teachings and how some countries’ Islamic communities are less stringent about such requirements.
And, she adds, her mother, a lifelong Catholic, converted several months ago after seeing her daughter’s spiritual path.
“The sense of sisterhood I felt with others who wore hijab was something that I had never experienced,” said Abu Ghannam, referring to the practice of Muslim women covering their heads in public. She added that, like Martinez, she is raising her children to speak all the languages of their upbringing: Arabic, Spanish, English.
“I think what many [Hispanics] are finding in Islam is a community that they find more nurturing,” said Nicole Ballivian, a Los Angeles documentary filmmaker who is completing a movie about Latino Muslims called “Luces Sobre Islam” (”Islam in Focus”).
She has traveled throughout South America and the Caribbean and visited many Hispanic Muslim communities here. She said that many of the converts she has talked with say the Catholic Church is large and impersonal.
These concerns about Catholicism mirror a trend that many officials in U.S. dioceses have tracked for years: the defection of Hispanics. The Catholic Almanac estimates that 100,000 Hispanics in the United States leave the church each year, although some other experts put the number as high as 600,000. Most have moved to Pentecostal and evangelical Protestant faiths as well as Mormonism, Islam and Buddhism. Converts appear to be both men and women in equal numbers.
“The numbers of Latinos who convert to various religions is certainly significant,” said Alejandro Aguilera Titus, assistant director for the Secretariat for Hispanic Affairs with the National Council of Catholic Bishops in Washington. “We find that the conversion efforts of many faiths have increased recently, which has led many Hispanics away from the Catholic Church.”
Many area Latinos who have converted say their attraction to Islam is spiritual and pragmatic. And even as their community seems scattered — with members attending mosques in Manassas, Herndon, Falls Church, Langley Park and College Park — they have formed their own organizations and have produced their own literature. Spanish translations of the Koran, for instance, are popular at several Northern Virginia mosques.
The Association of Latin American Muslims, a group based in Takoma Park, distributes a bilingual, bimonthly newspaper, “La Voz Del Islam” (”The Voice of Islam”) with members occasionally walking the streets to talk to Latinos.
“Organizing here can be very difficult at times, because it is easy to mistake Hispanics for other ethnicities,” said group president R. Abdur Rahman Campos, who converted in 1982 after coming here from Mexico. Campos, 48, said he left the Catholic Church frustrated by what he called its heavy emphasis on saints, which he says distracted him from the word of God.
“But it is important to continue to spread the teachings to Hispanics and non-Hispanics,” he added. “To everyone.”

Thank you. I actually encountered debate in favor of Puerto Rico statehood. It was led by someone who had a handy ping list.
LaRaza...when all things were new.
La Raza is now a triple tiered organization designed specifically to create buffer zones between the political and business factions, so-called charitable factions, and the student factions.
We have all seen plenty results of those who began before you did. Smile in our faces while the knife slices the flesh in our backs. Ever hear of RUKN? Ask Jesse the jack. He knows much about being holy hell.
Tier 1 is the poorest and most uneducated, increasingly illegal, Latinos up to MEChA student organizations recruiting on campus, pronouncing solidarity with the radical Islamist groups for purposes of anti-white, anti-America, and anti-Israel protest. They reach deep into the self-imposed segregation of their "communities" to the youngest of children using exactly the same kinds of hate rhetoric you will see in any Jihadi organization which teaches from the top down while supposedly promoting (providing) education, providing healthcare to those who could receive it elsewhere but are "taught" not to, KEEPING them poor and uneducated to control the population.
LA RAZA MISSION STATEMENT
The history of La Raza Commission Center is one that was conceived and fostered by student political activism. La Raza Commission Center was originally founded by Movimiento Estudiantil Chican@ de Aztlan (M.E.Ch.A.) in 1981. M.E.Ch.A. was born out of the barrios in 1969, at the height of U.S. social unrest as communities of color demanded social and economic justice. M.E.Ch.A. formulated its direction from the barrios, committed to grass roots organizing and taking actions on behalf of its communities. M.E.Ch.A. Commission changed its name to La Raza Commission Center in 1997 to ensure inclusion amongst all Latin@s and breakdown nationality division as we see social and economic issues and concerns in Latin@ communities related and interconnected.
Although the name of the Commission has changed to La Raza to make all Latin@s feel included and to develop a comprehensive understanding of Latin America, its political philosophies remain parallel to M.E.Ch.A. Political alignment with M.E.Ch.A. philosophies maintain a progressive effort to improve the conditions of our communities.
LaRaza now receives federal funds, has the same foundations backing them as b-movement.org, the euthanasia crowd, and other usual suspects, but MOST OF ALL, (and mark this well,) The MUSLIMS OF AMERICA.
Yeah. I saw some of that. These people do not realize how invasive islam is. Once it gets into the bloodstream, it is deadly. ALWAYS!
LaRaza, very important in AZ debate. Currious — what about Puerto Rico statehood?
Brings us right back to bill clinton...as all roads from this administration seem to:
The Puerto Rican Armed Forces of National Liberation (Spanish: Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional Puertorriqueña, FALN) was a Puerto Rican clandestine paramilitary organization that, through direct action, advocated complete independence for Puerto Rico. At the time of its dissolution, the FALN was responsible for more than 120 bomb attacks on United States targets between 1974 and 1983. The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) classifies the FALN as a terrorist organization.
The FALN was led by Filiberto Ojeda Ríos, who was one of the FBI’s most wanted criminals. The group served as the predecessor of the Boricua Popular Army. Several of the organization’s members were arrested and convicted for conspiracy to commit robbery and for firearms and explosives violations.
On August 11, 1999 then United States President Bill Clinton offered clemency to sixteen of the convicted militants under the condition that they renounce any kind of violent manifestation. This decision drew criticism towards the Clinton administration from figures that include the United States Attorney, the FBI, and the United States Congress.

Sounds awfully like bill ayers and company, doesn’t it?
obama has supposedly said he opposes Puerto Rican statehood. But if it should possibly happen, it would be a gift to the SEIU which would be organizing these people before the ink was dry.
bill clinton ALWAYS calls in his markers, and right now, obama is on his S List.
Hasn’t it struck you odd at how much clinton has been speaking out lately?
