Disasters - earthquake, Tsunami, others - happening rapidly now.
Read Matthew 24. There will be earthquakes.....etc.
When we see these events occurring in increasing frequency it is because these are the "birth pangs" that we have been told by Jesus Christ Himself - would happen closer together in time as do the birth pangs of a woman in labor. The closer she gets to giving birth, the worse the birth pangs become and the closer together they come.
LOL - well - he may be or at least one of his lieutenants - that is what I think he is.

For all that is posted...it matters truly not if Jesus comes tonight or 1000 tonights from now....
for today is all we have.
Today...to count our blessings.
Today...to count our fears.
Today...to be counted as His.
Jesus comes now, not tomorrow or next year or a decade from now...for those who believe Jesus comes for us now. In the moment.
Not in the intensification and frequency of what we have seen lately...and likely will be seeing n the days to come!

Catastrophic earthquakes happened just as often in the past as they do today. Earthquakes shattered stonewalled cities in the ancient world, sometimes hastening the demise of civilizations. Knossos, Chattusas, and Mycenae, ancient capitals of countries located in tectonically active mountain ranges, fell to pieces and were eventually deserted. Scribes have documented earthquakes in the chronicles of ancient realms. An earthquake is recorded in the Book of Zachariah, and the Apostle Paul wrote that he got out of jail when the building fell apart around him in an earthquake. In the years before international news services, few people heard about distant earthquakes. Only a few handwritten accounts have survived, giving us limited knowledge of earthquakes in antiquity. Because of limited and lost data, earthquakes seem to have been less common in ancient times. In China, home of the first seismometer, the Imperial government has recorded earthquakes for over a thousand years. Their frequency has not changed through the ages.

Either way don't sweat it since there is nothing we can do about it. I just don't understand this morbid fascination about the end.

If we die before the Rapture, we will either go immediately to heaven to be with Jesus or we will go to Hades where we will wait for the Great White Throne judgement after which we would go to an eternal hell....
(Cant even imagine that horror - I am begging, pleading with any who read this to not wait another moment - but to turn to Jesus now.

You see it as evil aimed at us. I see it as God allowing the effects of sin in the world. I don’t think God generates these events, they are the result of sin entering His perfect creation. He just warns us what will happen and uses it to point the way to His coming and our Salvation.
The point is we all die. It doesn’t matter if it is in an earthquake today, or a heart attack in a nice suburban hospital tomorrow. Death is a fact. How we respond to the offer of free Salvation is our choice.

Whether or not I experience the rapture while I am alive or have passed on I ask that HE forgive me for my sins. I do not think it is close...IMO we have a long way to go..Iran has not nuked Israel yet.

Yes there is this “mystery of iniquity” that we don’t fully understand.
But we do know that sin is in the world - and in all human beings - which is why Jesus had to die as our subtitutionary sacrifice on that cruel cross - because only the Shed Blood (of a worthy substitute) can deliver us from the wrath of God that is DUE US because of our sin.
Jesus did that - shed HIS blood for all who come to Him to be saved, delivered from evil and from sin’s shackles. And that leads us to the discussion of satan who is alive and well on planet earth - and we are seeing his efforts to kill as many as he can kill (for all eternity) before the word gets out and before Jesus comes in the rapture to take all who belong to Him UP and OUT before the real disasters start to happen!
