This is a matter of modern controversy. The classic date for Daniel’s authorship, accepted by Jews and Christians, is the 6th century BCE. The date you’ve given is one proposed by modernists who wish to explain away Daniel’s accurate prophecies of the Persian, Greek, and Roman empires. However, 180 BCE is impossible. How do I know? Daniel is part of the Septuagint, a Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures, used in the NT. That translation began in 300 BCE in Alexandria Egypt.
I wonder if there will be a relief concert although the leaders there are talking about taking care of themselves and helping each other. On the other hand in Haiti, their Prez hung out at the airport pretty much.

ET has learned that Marie Osmond’s son Michael Blosil leapt to his death Friday night in Los Angeles. Contacted by phone this morning, Donny Osmond tells us: “Please pray for my sister and her family.”
Here are the details: Michael, who was 18 and is one of Marie’s eight children, died after jumping from his downtown Los Angeles apartment at about 9 p.m. on Friday night. He left a note explaining he intended to commit suicide due to his life-long battle with severe depression that left him, he said, feeling as if he had no friends and could never fit in.

I’ve been on FaceBook most of the day keeping contact with friends to check on friends and fortunately, our school mates in Hawaii are vacationing in San Diego this week, but their houses are sea side in Hawaii!!!
One lives in Waimea, HI and the other friend lives almost beach front on Oahu. She’s worried.

I always find it intriguing how those who don’t manifest much faith will criticize the Word during a time when an act of God is imminent. I suspect a surge in demand for real estate along the San Andreas by gay investors is also soon to be expected.
My son is chatting with his friend on the big island- he’s on the north side a block from the water. They’ve moved in a few blocks to another friend’s house just in case.
