Palin had it good with the media before she signed on with McCain and I also know that we put Palin in the position to be picked.

Now the ball game has changed. She doesn’t owe the liar McCain anything and the fact that she does not only endosres him, she believes in him; tells me she isn’t ready YET.

I supported Palin until she threw her endorsement to McCain.

No on Romney. It’s a wait and see with Palin.

Sarah is supporting Paul in order to unseat a RINO named Grayson, and before you say — but she endorsed McCain and he is a RINO— I am going to say that Sarah Palin owed McCain one for bestowing on her the honor of running as Vice President of the United States of America. Yes it is an honor that deserves gratitude.

And why Brown is endorsing McCain and multiple others since a week, with no good reason whatsoever...at least Sarah has a good reason to do it - an understandable loyalty reason. That’s who she is. But I trust her. She know what she is doing. Her intelligence is there whatever people can think and her honesty to her principles is there too.

Some things you may not know about Sarah Palin:

What A Fisherman Says About Sarah Palin
by Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman

As posted in comments on Greta Van Susteren’s article referencing the MoveOn.org ad about Sarah Palin.

The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.

1- Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you’re thinking, I’ll continue.

2- Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES”. Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork”. She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning-I imagine-that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona . Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers..

And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

I support Sarah Palin.

Dewie Whetsell, Alaska

I looked at Johnson’s background and he looks like he could be good, but one thing people need to realize is that endorsements are a two way street. Palin can not go around and find each and every primary candidate. Candidates who want her endorsement need to reach out to her and get noticed. Also, we just because someone at the grass roots level claims to be conservative does not make it so. You could claim the same thing about Palin, but Palin has been extremely scrutinized. There are things that you and Palin do not like about Paul, but I bet Palin knows more about Paul than you know about Johnson. We don’t always see what is going on behind the scenes, so I am going to be slow to anger, and less reactionary.

If every pol scratched all the backs that helped them get to where they are, we’d be, well, probably close to where we are!

yeah and Rand Paul, sean duffy, rick perry, and there will be countless others. Some I will agree with some I won’t but it doesn’t matter because I agree 100% with her message of smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense and good morals.

She could endorse a democrate and I wouldn’t care. It is the message that she and only she is singing on the national stage that Im signing up for.

And she is 100% correct here too. take over the party and kick the rino’s out like Crist in FL going independent lets see how that works out for him. the center is not a base.

Thank you for posting that.

I want Palin to run, I believe she will win if she does. I want her to be my president, but even if she isn’t, I will respect and support her.

Endorsing McCain and campaigning for him won’t destroy her or seriously wound her.

Correct! This is her Mulligan. Intelligent people know why she is doing this. If J.D. wins she will wait out the requisite mourning period for her friend and benefactor(/s), a period of time lasting the grand total of a few microseconds, and then feel free enough to jump on the J.D. battlewagon.

What will make my head explode will be the effort by Juan to put words in her mouth proclaiming his Magna Conservita. It will be sad to see her reciting his "conservative credentials" looking like a political prisoner or hostage reciting some loony's manifesto that is obviously not from the heart while the loony is holding the gun just off camera. Can she pull it off without looking like a Stepford wife, or does she intend to do exactly that with the words "I Don't Mean A Word Of This" written on her hand to be accidentally picked up by the camera.

I would bet that most of the Tea Partiers are already active in grassroot politics. The problem the Republican party has is in its leadership at the top. They think that they can run roughshod over the people in the trenches, and that creates a massive disconnect which makes the whole party seem disorganized. The libs eat it up and encourage it at every turn.

Palin should know that we already are in charge but we don't have the courage to admit it to ourselves. When we find it the libs and the country-club-rinos will not know what hit them.

If Sarah just speaks to the good thing that McCain has done, and does not embellish, I will give her a pass. If Sarah starts making comments about McCain’s strong stance against illegal immigration then I will even lose faith in her. However, Sarah is not stupid, so I think she will be able to walk the tightrope well enough for my applause.

What I don’t understand is why Romney is endorsing McCain. What I don’t understand is why Romney is endorsing McCain.

Remember Mitt's "Me, too!" moment in the primary debates? Then he was reacting to Fred Thompson (ironically, the only one at that debate to show any sign of life); now he's reacting to Palin.

Yep...and endorsing McCain is a great start!

I bet she’d love to not have been put into the situation of having to endorse the man who put her on the national stage. This was a tough call for Sarah; no doubt.

It is funny how on one side some chastise Palin for her McInsane affiliation, and the others chastise her prominence since. Me, I basically see her as something the rest of the GOP doesn’t see her as, and that’s a patsy. And hopefully, that’s all she’ll be. Let her take the current GOP punching in the media, but push someone like Paul Ryan or whomever as an actual candidate in 2012...
