If you can’t tell if a floor mat caused your problem you should take a driving class, or quit driving.

you register on here to tell us how you hate Toyota and how you love GM cars

see that is trolling on here.

Also Toyota employs Americans so take that foreign crap elsewhere, times have changed and your car sales pitch is not working .

You say you came on here today to tell us how you hate foreign cars and yet GM has parts made abroad and made by union thugs who are crippling the industry

so tell you what you have made your point and your car sales pitch . You have said you are not here for politics so now you have made you point then maybe it is time to go before you get banned.

I and others love Toyota and see this witch hunt as another thug tactic by union goons and the Govt.

Man are you guys staunch on Toyota. Were have you been when the media lambasted GM and Ford and Chrysler for years. Were you under rocks………It was sick as Toyota skated along.

Now we finds out they were putting out erroneous quality reports and they have recalled. 5 MILLION for way more than just acclerater concerns cars and the best you can come up with is a government conspiracy and Chrysler recalled 300K?!?!?

Really, that’s it…………………….they aren’t talking about it because it pales in comparison. Besides Chrysler was last seasons’ whipping boy. They got theirs.

By the way I sell Ford, I could care less if you buy GM’s and you have NO credibility if you can’t acknowledge how heinous the media has been to the domestics for years. That of course was fine, because they deserved it, right?? Poor Toyota doesn’t.

I honestly think I’ve stumbled onto a liberal forum, this is the kind of stuff I hear from them. Different rules and closed minded, oh well…………...

“””””””””stellar quality Japanese (and German) manufacturers have to offer.”””””””””””

You sirs are on crack. The Germans have had horrendous quality issues of late and Toyota’s have never been worth less and if you are in the car biz you no this to be true.

Chad.

you now come on here today and tell us that this is a liberal forum because we don't buy your car sales man crap and we hate how the govt is tackling the competition.

the arrogance, enjoy your time on here as it will not be long.

The Govt has gone after fair comp and this is just a start and this is why we should have let GM crash and burn along with the unions who have been building crap for years and have been taking money for nothing

cash for clunkers reminded me of:

Under FDR, six million pigs were slaughtered to stabilize prices. The pigs went to waste in times of widespread hunger.

Cattle in counties designated emergency areas, because owners were in financial straights, were gov purchased at $14 to $20 a head. Animals "the government considered unfit" for human consumption- over half at the beginning of the program - were destroyed. The poor living in shantytowns stood around and waited for the slaughter in order to take the food back to their families. However, they were held off in many cases by armed government men and the cattle were buried in pits.

The poorest of poor designated "the intended" were left out of the "cash for clunkers" program as well.

You honestly aren’t worth the effort................I sell FORD’S!!!!!! I have not once praised GM and have in fact said a couple times I don’t care what they do or have. We are stealing their business too.

You are all wet, and have poor reading skills.

For every person who tells me a “great” Toyota story there are others who would tell you a bad one. That is how this works and it is called perspective. I know Toyota made some great cars, I also know they were over hyped and dropped the ball. Today they got their well-deserved day in court and they had no answers. There will be more, of that I’m certain. You can keep telling me how great they are and I can keep telling you my spin, but in the end people have heard and they will suffer a little as a result.

Hopefully Ford will reap some benefits. A true hard working American Car Company. They employ more Americans and their profits stay HERE. They also don’t sell cars in Iran.

Chad

the trouble with this is that is is so blatant and we have people who still cannot see it or defend this.

This is right out of the commie play book, Feds raid, calls for the owner to appear in front of congress and yet how much have we heard about Chrysler is recalling over 300,000 vans today.

Course the media lapdogs for bozo are doing the dirty work and helping him

The last three Fords we had were a ‘79 Crown Vic, a ‘8? Fiesta and a ‘99 Escort ZX. I bought the Fiesta from a friend, it was a totaled retitled car, got the frame straightened and drove it into the ground. Totally unsafe tin can, but it would go 100 mph and still get 40 plus MPG.

The Crown Vic — a very reliable boat of a car — I junked after it killed its third deer. The Escort I sold last year to a family from the very poor counties upstate PA — they traveled 11 hours round-trip to buy it. No stock of used cars up that way. One of my sons had bought it at Virginia auction and I had to replace clutch and axles on it. That also went very fast and got 31 MPG. The Escort and the Fiesta are Jap/Korean models relabeled Ford.

I have been keep very detailed records of our cars over the past five years or so. In 33K miles of usage the Escort cost us 18 cents a mile, not including insurance and fuel. We had a GMAC Town and Country that cost us 25 cents a mile over 64k miles of use, same basis.

On our three Toyotas, I’m estimating two of them will end up under 12 cents a mile, and the other — I’m hoping we can get it under 15 in three years. That is an 89 4Runner that needed major cancer refab of fenders, The Ford equivalent is the Bronco. It’s a rare model of an 4WD SUV/pickup, and we have gotten offers for it out of the blue a number of times.

We’ve never had any acceleration problems with any of them.

I have had cars with stuck accelerators — older VWs where the accelerator cable rust could cause the pedal to stick down. That was many years ago. Just shifted them into neutral, no problem.

My wife and I usually do a whole lot of research before we buy a car. What we found is that the Toyotas have a proven quality that holds up over many years. Every independent mechanic I deal with says the same thing.

Fortunately for us, not everyone aggress and that is all we need. Just a chink in the Armour and I guess I have Obama to thank eh?!?!?! Hmmmmmm and I thought he was worthless.

Thanks Pres for dragging Toyota to court so all could hear about their warts. Now could you quite screwing up the rest of the country. Oh and why did you let them participate in the cash for clunkers? It was already a terrible idea.
