Poll: Rand Paul Easily Leads in Senate Race
By David Weigel 2/24/10 11:05 AM
For some reason, Kentucky U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul never gets called the "frontrunner" in that race. Secretary of State Trey Grayson, seen as the favorite of Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), still receives that title. But it's another day and another poll -- this one from Magellan Strategies -- showing Paul crushing Grayson. He has a nearly 2-1 lead, 44 percent to Grayson's 23 percent, and a whopping 31-point net favorable rating to Grayson's 11-point net favorable rating.
The secret to Paul's success? He's not seen as a fringe candidate, but as an embodiment of the Tea Parties -- which have a 67 percent favorable rating among GOP primary voters. And he's aided by the endorsement of Sarah Palin. Twenty-eight percent of Kentucky Republicans favor Palin in a hypothetical 2012 primary to only 4 percent who favor Paul's father, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas).
The younger Paul has been running a pitch-perfect campaign. One example: his rapid-fire response to an ad in which Grayson accused Paul of supporting "Obama's war on coal". Another example is this closing answer at a debate in Paducah. Watch how Paul trains his focus on the parts of hardcore libertarianism most popular with Republican voters.

Say what you mean, don’t refer to something else. What is it that you want to say?
You’re like a Paulitician: “I already addressed that point.”
“No, you didn’t, not really. Can you clarify it for me?”
“FEDERAL RESERVE! Bababooey! Bababooey! Ron Paul rocks!”

The point is, don’t make up “facts” and “quotes” and try to pass them off as fact on FR and just don’t lie, and in your case you really should not make assumptions.

The "Palin/Paul Alliance" is alive and well inside your brain. Nowhere else. If you think Sarah would stand with the lunatic who wants to bring
all military personnel home to act as a totally defensive force, you're dumber than most of the Traulls (Ron Paul trolls) who pretend to be "Christian Capitalists".
Nice try.

I’d address your accusation if I believed there was any merit to it. What exactly are you alleging I’m doing here ? I’ve stated that this candidate is dangerous to our national security. I believe he is willfully misrepresenting himself and misleading others as to what exactly he truly stands for. I accuse him of being the liar in that regard, and I do not trust him.
He claims at one point to not be like his father, and it simply doesn’t pass the smell test. When you have a candidate who is considered to directly inherit the mantle of his father’s ideology, who benefits from his father’s fundraising network, and has the same cadre of cult-like followers working and shilling for them, to claim they’re NOT carrying on as such is completely bullcrap. I say the old adage, “Where there’s smoke...” applies here.

I’m with you, Bill Johnson.
If Paul Jr. wins I hope he doesn’t eff up the general election by spewing some truther nonsense.

So, you’re objecting to the words being placed in Rand Paul’s mouth because Rand said that the opinions were his father’s when he acted as Ron’s mouthpiece.
Is that right or wrong?

“He’s the only one who understands the Constitution and wants smaller government! The only one! Neocon!”
Yep. If you oppose Ron Paul, then you are against small government.
By the same logic, if you are against Benny Hinn, then you hate Jesus.

I think we covered this. Look at your post 40 and then look at my post 114.

I answered you in post #171. I take it you are insinuating that you believe he is separate from his father in his positions, I absolutely 100% believe he is not, and that he is lying if he claims otherwise. It’s that simple. Feel free to disagree, but there’s nothing more I can add to that. I want dangerous Paulbots completely kept out of Congress, period.

What I posted is that your source was no good and it was dishonest to imply that was a Rand Paul quote, I’m amazed that you don’t care.
Your answer seems to be big deal, close enough, it might be something that he thinks too, could be, who cares about the accuracy of my posts, I don’t like the guy.

But, y'know, we're working on that. We're Southern Presbyterians, ergo, we copulate like Viagra-addled bunny-rabbits. But please, have a little patience, okay? Well get with the program already. Mrs. Theophilus is expecting our 10th in June! She's down in Atlanta for the PCA WIC conference and I have the depraved paultards by myself tonight.

If you think Sarah would stand with the lunatic who wants to bring all military personnel home to act as a totally defensive force, you're dumber than most of the Traulls (Ron Paul trolls) who pretend to be "Christian Capitalists". Have you ever considered that fact that our military is being trained and our weapons/survielence systems are being developed for the kind of asymetric warfare that can be used against us? I'm not saying that it's deliberate or a conspiracy and I trust our current service members to be loyal to our constitution and not to men. However, it would be foolish to consider yourself immune to technologies and doctrine that could be acquired and used by other states or statist institutions. No matter how powerful we become, no matter how hard we try, no matter how great the technological overmatch, we cannot: "make the world safe for democracy." Peace and prosperity don't come from military force, they come from God.

Apparently you aren't aware of the fact that this is a political forum. Its where we discuss P-O-L-I-T-I-C-S.
I suggest you take the Yellow Brick Road and walk on thru the wind and the rain to find a religious forum, where people might care what you think.
See ya.
