Juan Williams has absolutely no faith in the 2012 Republican presidential field. He brought a healthy dose of fair and balanced to the FOX News Sunday Panel Plus online-exclusive segment yesterday, where he predicted to his bemused colleagues that, despite their high hopes, if they didnt find a respectable candidate soon, Barack Obama would win reelection in a landslide.
While the rest of the panel Bill Kristol and Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard, NPRs Mara Liasson, and host Chris Wallace shrugged it off with laughter, it was a pretty fearless point to make riding on the heels of one of the most successful CPACs in recent memory and in a year where dissatisfaction with the Democratic Party has fed a massive Tea Party resistance movement and launched Republican Scott Brown from Massachusetts into the Senate.
Williams seemed to have been pushed into making this argument not by the successes of Sarah Palin or propositions that Mitt Romney still has a viable shot at the presidency, but at Kristols suggestion that Texas governor Rick Perry, who has advocated for Texas secession in the not-so-distant past, could make a splash in the presidential pool. While Romney and Mike Huckabee have the traditional advantage of being runners-up from 2008, Kristol argued, Perrys decade in the governors seat would put him in a pretty strong position to run for President.

This whole thing about 2012 is so ridiculous because we an only know after 2010 is decided. The left wants us to keep talking about 2012 so we take our eye off the real prize. Please don’t fall into that trap.
Juan is stuck on Obummer stupid......the Obummer koolaid dribbles from his mouth everytime Jack Squat Obummer is mentioned. The only difference between him and Mathews is that Mathews has his own show and get’s a tingle up/down his leg when he see’s Jack Squat Obummer. Idiot.
Brit it is. My fingers got ahead of me.
Hell, I think Juan Williams could beat him in 2012.
That’s the feeling I get.
No candidate is going to be perfect.
We need to start settling on one and unite to elect him.
Maybe if so many were not mad that their candidate didn’t get nominated, etc and stayed home, the Marxist/Muslim wouldn’t be in the white House.
I despise McJuan, but I held my nose and voted for him.
Everybody who stayed home or voted for a third party candidate or did a write-in cast a vote for the muzzie.
.
Williams is delusional and cannot believe his savior is going down in flames. The mind is interesting that it has a tendency to only see its own position. All the Left Wing kooks have gone into a frenzy. It will get crazier before November and will be at a fever pitch in 2012.
I agree. Juan could be right. I know there is nothing running right now that I care to vote for.
I will not hold my nose and vote Republican like I did the last time, I would rather vote for someone I like whether they have a chance or not.
While I think that Williams is an idiot, I must say that there is not yet a candidate that MOST conservatives and moderates will stand behind. Perhaps one of the possible candidates will galvanize the middle and right, but it is not a sure thing. If a candidate manages to satisfy both of these groups then the Usurper will suffer one of the worst defeats in history. Time will tell.
agreed.
He’s an honest man. His son is die hard conservative...and he - Jaun - with that and Fox’s association, seems to influencing him.
He will attack on the other side - this is one of my favorites...he aggressively defends Rush against a bigot black man. First you have this clip to set it up and then watch what Juan does the following night -

this next one is GREAT - Juan pulled no punches!
If the CPAC crowd picks the GOP candidate, Juan may be on to something.
What’s Juan on? Strong stuff whatever it is. The landslide would only come if 0 is the only candidate on the ballot. Wouldn’t put it past him either.
Or competing for a gig with O'Reilly.
Take your "pic:"
juan is black... obama is black... that is all that is going on here.
LLS
mmmmm Romney, huckster, Pawlenty, Barbour, Newt......did I forget any other slime?
We have plenty of time. Juan is trying to panic us into anointing someone now so they can have three years to attack them.
Nah, he’s a useful idiot. He makes the rest of the contributors look sooo good!
Juan to God: I was in the middle of the RR tracks between stations. I saw the speeding train coming. I can’t believe it killed me. It’s just not fair.
God (stifling a yawn) to Juan: Take the left stairway—down.
