Practitioners of homosexuality practice a perversionAs long as it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg, I hope for their vote.

As long as it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg, I hope for their vote. Read up on your history. Every nation that promoted did so as it reached a point of decadence that destroyed the resolve of the nation against its enemies, foreign and domestic, and hastened the nation to its ultimate demise. Also, homosexuals are actually quite violent. Read up, for instance, on the Spartans, and on the Theban bands of 300 lovers.
Problem with the libertarian argument is that tolerance for open homosexuality eventually will both pick your pocket and break your leg.

Hoping for votes is one thing. But it is quite another to tacitly approve of degenerate behavior by welcoming them with a level of respect. Do you really want your kids to think “oh well, I guess the erotic worship of the male rectum is just another lifestyle we can choose from”. The consequences of AIDS alone should be enough of a wake up call.

At times, I wonder what will fracture the FR base. I think it is the social conservatives versus the fiscal/government conservative canyon that will lead to our own Civil War. I was pointed to FR by a libertarian friend, yet I see social conservatism taking over this site. I’ll judge what I want to judge, but I don’t think that government has any business telling people what to do in their personal lives, so long as they are consenting and of age. It’s up to my own opinion at that point to decide who I want to associate with, and who I will introduce to my family.

And, when in the future, the creeping rise of acceptance, appeasement and 'tolerance' of a growing host of accommodations for their values actually brands your party's 'logo' with its values trademark, will you still accept their vote?
It reality, their lifestyle and choices have no play in the politics of a political party.

Agree. Why this is an issue is beyond me.
We are (should be) at war with islamists, not homosexuals. (that being said, I am 100% against a homosexual agenda pushed in schools or the media)
