BOSTON (AP) - A rap star says former Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney first touched him—and not the other way around—during a confrontation aboard an Air Canada flight that was preparing to take off from Vancouver, British Columbia.
Sky Blu, whose given name is Skyler Gordy, says in a video posted Friday on TMZ.com that he was trying to go to sleep when he leaned his seat back on the Vancouver-to-Los Angeles flight Monday.
He says Romney loudly told him several times to straighten it and then grabbed his shoulder.

If in fact the seat reclining occurred after the plane pulled away from the gate, the flight attendants were probably strapped into their crew seats for take-off. Romney probably figured he'd save them the trouble of getting up to deal with the issue, since he was in a position to ask the jerk to put his seat back up, without having to get out of his seat.
Sorry...but your knowledge of the law is incorrect. Merely touching someone is not an assuatlt...in fact it’s not even a battery. For your education and edification:
Assault: An assault is carried out by a threat of bodily harm coupled with an apparent, present ability to cause the harm...Generally, the essential elements of assault consist of an act intended to cause an apprehension of harmful or offensive contact that causes apprehension of such contact in the victim.
Battery: An intentional unpermitted act causing harmful or offensive contact with the “person” of another. The following elements must be proven to establish a case for battery: (1) an act by a defendant; (2) an intent to cause harmful or offensive contact on the part of the defendant; and (3) harmful or offensive contact to the plaintiff.

The world would be a better place if more of us counted their fellow shoppers' items in the express lane, mentioned that the area in from of shopping center stores was a fire lane, and got into the left lane on the expressway and travelled the speed limit.

Whether or not that’s so, those who take such upon themselves in our current culture tend to be toward the hall monitor extreme of personality.

The flight attendants were already strapped in their seats as the plan was moving down the runway getting ready to take off. I’m sure Romney was trying to avoid having to call the attendants at such a time and was trying to handle the situation himself. Normally, with an ordinary person — not a spoiled rapper related to Berry Gordy — that course of action would have worked.
Who among us hasn’t come across this kind of moron? Look at his picture, the very embodiment of a fool. Obviously this “Sky Blu” was acting like an ass, and if Mitt hadn’t said anything there would be somebody right now judging him for not showing leadership. The fact that this ridiculous Sky Blu character is a rich kid and should know how to act makes him that much more of a disgrace.
