PHOENIX, ARIZONA. FEBRUARY 14, 2010. Presidents Day will be the day an almost-President will formally feel a hard charge from his right.
Conservative former Congressman and talk radio host J.D. Hayworth will announce his campaign for the U.S. Senate, a seat now held by the 24-year incumbent John McCain, at Hayworth's new campaign headquarters in Phoenix.
Republican stalwarts, Team Party patriots and a few surprises will be on hand.
The Hayworth campaign will also launch a Money Bomb on Monday too. Details about this online fundraising effort can be found at www.JDforSenate.com, which formally debuts with Hayworths announcement.

Done.
And so it begins.
Only $100,000? Maybe he has some funds left over from his House runs.
I guess a guy caught up in the Abramoff scandal needs to pay his legal bills somehow. I hope no one on FR is duped.
“I guess a guy caught up in the Abramoff scandal needs to pay his legal bills somehow.”
What an idiotic thing to say...
Please provide the details of any wrongdoing JD was "caught up" in, well not really caught up in, but wrongdoing for which he was actually charged and prosecuted?
Here is what I want to know: Has Hayworth spoken the truth and, if so, will he continue to speak the truth about the Kenyan Usurper and his illegal regime?
We patriots have to stop just waiting around for Barrys term to end. We all have to be on record as calling for his resignation and/or arrest. It doesnt matter whether or not its likely to happen. We need to be ON RECORD as calling for it otherwise, we will be as complicit as all of the good Germans who went along with the Third Reich.
I will not vote for any candidate who wont bring up the most important issue of the day: the illegitimacy of the Kenyan Usurper and the need for all patriots to resist everything Barry does.

Is that what you really hope for?
Good Grief. You're the one who's duped. The DOJ dropped the investigation into Hayworth once they realized he had done nothing wrong. Get your facts straight. Here is the letter from his lawyers after receiving confirmation from DOJ that he was not culpable in the Abramoff scandal.
I'd bet that, since a lot is still unknown, they just set a goal they think they will achieve and are hoping for a lot more.
The biggest battle between Heyworth and McCain figures to be over immigration policy.
McCain is a conservative and is pretty much a lock in the general. This is a waste of money; use it to fight Liberals.
I know the knocks about McCain (immigration especially). He was wrong on it, big time and he actually FOUGHT for the wrong side. It was truly a shame that he was the best the party could do in 2008 but spending millions to take down a conservative seems like a waste to me. I won’t say he’s my favorite (i need only to think back on the “You have nothing to fear from Obama statement”) but I’m not into this crusade
I sure hope JD can do it.
Defeat the RINO, Vote JD
And McCain, your putrid idol, was in cahoots with Keating.
If he whips McLame in the primary, would we all not pay good money to see the fit that Meagan throws? It will be the meltdown of all meltdowns....Daddy won’t be a senator anymore...NOOOOOOOO. I think I may just donate a little money.
Marking this for tomorrow.
He will meet it.
May be compared to Romney, Giuliani or Scott Brown.
Go JD!
