Tea Party Candidate May Ensure A Harry Reid Win

This is just beyond asinine. (h/t doubleplusundead)

Sun columnist Jon Ralston is reporting that the Tea Party has qualified as a third party in Nevada and will have a candidate in the Senate race to battle for the seat held by Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The party has filed a Certificate of Existence but needs to get 1 percent of the electorate to vote for its candidate in November to permanently qualify, according to the report.

Ralston reported that Jon Ashjian will be the Tea Party's U.S. Senate candidate on the November ballot. Ashjian still must declare his candidacy.

Awesome.....this goes a long way towards ensuring Harry Reid stays the Senator of that State.

the 2010 election seems to be shaping up nicely as well.

Yep. Out of the frying pan and into the fire and back into the frying pan.

No I didn’t know.

I was just kidding, I knew that you didn't know who EternalVigilance is, but when he is exposed on threads, his routine is to claim that everyone knows who EternalVigilance is.

Oh, s**t!!! Is this guy on Harry Reid’s payroll?

That would be my guess too, dems play dirty and for keeps, ends justify the means, etc.

I have a feeling this November is going to be a nasty, nasty election.

Sorry but as long as our troops are in harms way, a RINO is better than the POS Reid.

Alan Keyes perennial candidate for public office. He ran for President of the United States in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2008, and was a Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in 1988, 1992, and 2004.

He will be running for President again in 2012, he finally had to form his own party to keep running for offices.

Are you really that ignorant? Seriously, when I am talking traitor I'm talking about someone so vile that they will cut and run on our troops while they are in harms way.

Ralston’s tweet;

Tea Party Senate candidate is Jon Ashjian, principal of TNT ENERGY PRODUCTS, LLC. Seems appropriate because his candidacy is explosive.

Generic Congressional Ballot (R 44%, D 36%)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2448013/posts

“But in a three-way congressional contest with a Tea Party candidate on the ballot, the Democrat earns 36% support. The GOP candidate comes in second with 25% of the vote, and the Tea Party candidate picks up 17%. Twenty-three percent (23%) are undecided. “

Third party candidate guarantees a sure Dem victory.

but when he is exposed on threads

"Exposed"? LOL...

As you know, because you've been told many times when you've pulled this same garbage on thread after thread after thread, my real name, who I am, and what my agenda is is spelled out in full on my homepage.

Why don't you put your real name up on your homepage? Or are you afraid of being "exposed"?

The Tea Party movement would better serve us by putting conservatives on the GOP ticket rather than splitting the anti-Dem/Socialist vote.

Wow. Those numbers should strike fear into the hearts of Republicans. But it won’t when conservatives are afraid to use the power they possess to gain real representation.

Yes, but his mom makes great sweaters for him. Just wish he didn’t squeak so much when he rants. :)

Of course forming a political party called the Tea Party of Nevada has no bearing on the Tea Party Movement going on at this time.

They are using the name for their own purposes.

This is happening in other states also, one being Florida.

The article is pushing their legitimacy by the way Sun columnist Jon Ralston words the message.

Jon Ashjian is not the Tea Party candidate.

I almost made that mistake, but the closer it got to the election the nuttier Perot got. Changed my mind and voted Bush at the last minute. Honestly, I’m not sure how much better a choice that was.

The Reids of the world would have little power if they weren’t empowered by squishy Republicans.

In all fifty states in this union, there are more self-identified conservatives than there are self-identified liberals. Did you ever stop and ask yourself why said conservatives are not appropriately represented now according to their actual numbers?

If one thinks it all the way through, you can only reach one conclusion: It’s because the party that claims to represent conservatism really doesn’t.

Well, he will be if the Republicans pick a true conservative. It’s easy.
