Critics of Michael Steele's tenure as RNC chairman are motivated by racism, Steele suggested in an interview published today.
Speaking to the Washingtonian Magazine (no online version), Steele wondered why his DNC counterpart doesn't get the same criticism he does.
"I don’t see stories about the internal operations of the DNC that I see about this operation," Steele said. "Why? Is it because Michael Steele is the chairman, or is it because a black man is chairman?”
The RNC has experienced significant staff turnover since Steele became chairman, especially in the communcations shop. That has prompted speculation about Steele's management style.
Steele's comment about racism, however, will only further anger his Republican critics, who have lamented his repeated gaffes.
Time for this bum to get the bum’s rush.
“I am guilty as charged, and cannot raise a solitary, objective defense on my own behalf. I fail as an individual.”

Great legacy. Now is the time for the few blacks in the Republican party to come forward and say “he’s got to go because he’s incompetent and an idiot. The fact that he’s a black incompetent idiot should not save him. Blacks should be treated the same as whites—no better and no worse. He should resign now or be canned.”

I am now inclined to think he is deliberately, methodically and willingly assisting the Democrats. Hard to believe he is simply that stupid. He would have personal hygiene and orientation problems if he was actually as stupid as he acts.
Steele isn’t going anywhere, he’s got the GOP/RNC over a barrel.
Steele is criticized by the left cause he’s a Republican.
He’s criticized by the right for saying stupid things all the time, like this remark.

No money coming in means Steele will be ousted. And money isn’t coming in. Republicans need someone like Haley Barbour. Big traditional Republican donors will not donate when this idiot Steele is running the show.

Luckily the next Chairman, who also happens to be black but has no chips on his shoulder, or race cards up his sleeves, has a plan.

Just when I think a person can’t get much more assinine than to say: “Republicans can’t win in November”, he proves me wrong.
A liberal mole couldn’t have been much worse than Steele in this role.
The heck of it is that we have a worm inside us now. The darn thing is latched to our heart. If we try to remove it, the worm will vindictively try to cause as much damage as possible. Steele is a self-serving SOB.
