I have great trouble with this "new" term, we have never heard the word AMERICAN mentioned with regards to the eligibility legal formulation in the Constitution!

Remember Dr. Fukino is a medical doctor, and I think she used medical terms to fool us and CHA=CYA!!

So she could truthfully say he was natural-born (no C-section, etc.) and claim that he is and AMERICAN(?) citizen, and she has no authority to claim Barry Soetoro is a NBC. Hmmmmm!!!

I think Dr. Fukino was trying to amplify the language of Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution: “No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”
The Constitution is mute on who has the authority to determine who is a natural born citizen.
Dr. Fukino’s office has confirmed that the Hawaii Attorney General’s office reviewed the legalities of her statement and approved it.
I think her addition of the word “American” was to ward off those who would parse her words as possibly meaning “natural born Kenyan citizen” or natural born Indonesian citizen.”
In any event there have been no legal challenges to Dr. Fukino’s statement which was issued on July 27, 2009.

Had a feeling about this.... Perhaps Barry did a study abroad program for a year. Many colleges have their main exchange programs which they cater to, but there’s so many others recognized one could go anywhere in the world. That’s the great thing about college, unlimited opportunities.

What can I tell you? Some of the conservative activists who have been trying to get at Obama’s vault copy birth documents filed a state level Freedom of Information Act request in Hawaii after Fukino’s statement was released and they were told by the Office of Communications of the Hawaii Health Department that her statement came through the Attorney General’s office.
