Breaking...
2008 Year of the Rat in Chinese calendar.
2010 is Year of the Tiger. Tigers hunt Rats?
Eddie Joe Reddick M.D. of Nashville, TN., first performed laparoscopic cholecystectomy in this country. He went to France to train under a obstetrician/gynecological surgeon who reported in a speciality journal of having removed a gallbladder while performing a pelvic laparoscopy. After a relatively short period in France, Reddick returned and began to develope instruments with U S Surgical for the performance of the proceedure. (Reddick got a slice of that pie, he told me). By 1990 - 1991 the proceedure was used widely, though not exclusively throughout the USA. It has become the standard of care for ‘routine’ gallbladder removeal.
Concur, lot of very senior “Old Corps” Marines refer to him as the only EX-Marine. Would of preferred he lived till 90, long enough to regret how he disgraced his title (Marine). This Old CPO is also a FORMER Marine, he offended me as well. But God will judge him on other things lets pray that goes well.
“My sympathies to his family. That is all I will say.”
I agree. And also a thanks to him for the actual service he did as a Marine. He will not be missed by me as a Congressman. Its a shame he was corrupted by money and politics.
He may have had gall bladder CA. His biliary drainage system could have become scarred which could result in liver failure. But to go this quick, he could have had a perforated GB with a massive sepsis and multi-organ failure.
He certainly was a controversial and tragic public figure. We must nonetheless pray that God is merciful.
I hope he likes warmth.
“Tigers hunts Rats?”
Works for me . . . mixing two current stories, I guess it’s the Rats’ turn to get screwed for a while . . .
Prayers for his family and friends.
The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away. That could be any one of us, I won’t have another critical word to say about Mr. Murtha.
Hopefully he knew (or came to know) Jesus Christ as his Savior before he breathed his last.
Rest In Peace.
Agreed
I resented Murtha when he was alive, but I do pray he repented and for the redemption of his soul. Also, prayers up for his family. May God comfort them and give them strength in this difficult time.
He's the enemy.
I'm glad he's dead.
Yes. He really did cr@p on his fellow troops
with his horrible FALSE allegations a short
while back.
Just now heard on WBAP radio he was in surgery
for a gall bladder and there were complications,
and he died as a result.
Are you kidding? Before the end of the day, Democrats will be calling for it to be renamed the Murtha Memorial Airport and funded in perpetuity as a monument to Murtha's memory.
They won't close it down until after the November election, when the Democrats can't milk any more votes out of Murtha's corpse (that's a military term you know).
My Moma always said that if you can’t say anything nice about someone, don’t say anything at all. So, the following is my official statement:
It is appointed unto man, once to die, and after this the judgement. May John Murtha be fully rewarded for his life of lies, treachery & deceit.

No, that's for the Senate. The U.S. House requires that all members be elected. No one is appointed to the House.
Sorry, but I do not see Chesty welcoming him aboard. Honor is enduring long after death, however, disgrace the uniform but once and you will be remembered forever for that one act. Murtha forgot what Semper Fi means, by the way he trashed the Haditha Marines.
Yes, that he was, but the condolences are for Murtha's family and the hope he repented before the end.
