Andrea Mitchell, identified by NBC News as the network's Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, this morning joined in the attacks on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin over the 2008 Republican party's vice-presidential nominee's use of notes written on her hand during an appearance at the Tea Party Nation convention in Nashville this past weekend.
Appearing on MSNBC's the Daily Rundown, Mitchell lampooned Palin by holding up her hand with scribbling on her palm while castigating Palin for criticizing Barack Obama for his reliance on TelePrompTers.
Co-host Chuck Todd, who can usually be found on his knees in front of Obama, surprisingly tried to defend Palin by saying, "We've all done notes."
Mitchell was having none of that, though and insisted this was a capital political offense.

Palin responded to her liberal critics yesterday by writing "Hi Mom!" on her left palm during a campaign stop for Texas Governor Rick Perry's reelection bid.
They’ll regret this. Palin will turn this around and have it as her calling card.
She can now accept ads on her hand. Call Obama a tool, live on her hand.

I am laughing because it is endearing to anyone who has given a speech that she has written a word or two on her hand...shows again that she is a real person.

This is truly laughable, I used this technique myself and so do many other professionals who want to be sure not to miss the most important points with an audience. Amazing they picked up on this in the first place ... shows you those "speaking" probably have never given a major speech or at least a good one!

At least, Andrea, Sarah doesn't need to get her face fixed, time and time again. I think Sarah is pretty comfortable with who she is, unlike you. Besides, the fact, that Sarah is genuine, take her or leave her, she doesn't think she is better or smarter than the rest of us.
You can't fix ugly (inside and out) including those pits in your face, Andrea. Keep up the arrogance and condescension. It has worked so well for you.
By turning it around with the “Hi, Mom” she has shown how wise she is. The media looked ridiculous, Americans related to the hand note AND the hello to mother, and the media will now have to think twice before they try to pounce on her again.
Next, she should write on her palm: “I don’t need a teleprompter” or “Everybody knows it’s CORE-man” and see if they cover it.
The genius is that she shows she has a sense of humor about the media. She’s showing America she’s not afraid of the nattering nabobs and will not be controlled by them. America has been wondering if the media will be selecting our POTUS from now on.
