* Governor Haley Barbour of Mississippi[18]
- not known enough, extensive lobbying career, no chance in hell
* Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts[19]
- 2012 is too early for him
* Former Governor Jeb Bush of Florida[20]
- does nobody remember George W. Bush???
* House Minority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia[21]
- he might run, but he is not known enough
* Former Vice President Dick Cheney of Wyoming[22][23]
- Dick Cheney? Seriously, Dick “George W. Bush” Cheney?
* Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana[24]
- maybe a good candidate, but he obviously doesn’t want to run, he is not the type of guy
* Governor Luis Fortuño of Puerto Rico[25]
- Luis who? Puerto Rico? Suuuuure...
* Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich of Georgia[26]

* Senator John Thune of South Dakota[41]
- not high profile enough
Is this your personal assessment, or did you copy and paste it from DU to get a laugh out of us today?
You forgot Duncan Hunter, Sr., Senator Jim Demint, Alan Keyes, and Michelle Bachmann.
And just who were Hussein and BJ Klintoon before they were nominated?
Plus the fact that Perry is a moron.
Governor Bill Clinton
who? whooooo?
An interesting list.... I certainnly do NOT want another Senator/Rep running — no leadership experience, too willing to compromise their values, part of the problem. A governor would be best IMHO.
No more Bushs! No more Clintons!
I predict Hillary! is going to challenge 0bama in 2012. She just doesn’t ‘get’ that most people dislike her in the first place; she’s just as much an egotist as 0bama.
Sarah mentioned Congressman Paul Ryan (R, WI) in her speech last night; she mentions/quotes him from time to time.
I could see Palin/Ryan against 0bama/Plugs come 2012. They would mop the floor with ‘em! :)
The following list is from wikipedia, I just cant see anyone in there who might have a remote chance. The GOP must come up with somebody better than them, or Obama will sweep that election even if he screws up a lot more than up to now:
Sarcasm off.
Ypu are right, Palin could never win. Independents do not like her and view her as rather dim. Plus she isn’t a true Conservative. She still adores John McCain and supports Lindsey Graham, Charlie Crist and Joe Lieberman. I am puzzeld why all these allged Conservatives out still idolize this woman. She has alligned herself politically with the RINO base.
But I think there is someone who can win:
Jim DeMint has true Conservative track record and is fighting the Obama agenda tooth and nail. I think he’d be a fine choice. Nominating Palin would be opening the door to a huge Obama landslide in 2012
I can’t agree with all of your “characterizations” of the candidates. If you’re looking for Jesus Christ to run, forget it. There’s only been one.
