February 07, 2010 Palin 'Would Be Willing' to Take On Obama in 2012

By Judson Berger - FOXNews.com Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race. Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race.

The former Alaska governor, in an interview Saturday on the sidelines of the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, said President Obama's "lack of experience" has held him back his first year in office and that she would put her credentials up against his any day.

"I would be willing to if I believe that it's right for the country," Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012. She qualified the statement, adding that she sees "many" other potential candidates who are "in as strong or stronger position than I am to take on the White House and if they're in a better position than I in three years, I'll support them."

But the former GOP vice presidential nominee told "Fox News Sunday": "I won't close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future."

She delivered the keynote address Saturday at the tea party convention, using it to hammer Obama as soft on terrorism. When convention organizer Judson Phillips mentioned the idea of "President Palin" in a question-and-answer session afterward, audience members leapt to their feet and burst into a chant of "Run, Sarah, Run."

She has been Quayled.

For someone who has supposedly been "Quayled," she certainly has done good for herself, with FOUR networks carrying her speech LIVE last night and her policy statements making headline news in hundreds, if not thousands, of newspapers worldwide today.

Yeah, she's been "Quayled" all right.

Funny how the word “messiah” keeps coming from her detractors, not from her supporters. Looks to me like you folks are scared spitless she could run, because if she does, she’d win.

Can you imagine the debate, Obama-failure with TelePrompTers at a debate with Sarah without them?

That WOULD be something to see. Were she to win the nomination I'd lay odds it would be the first presidential race without a debate. The morons at the WH could not afford it.

President Obama is the epitome of the lack of experience.

He's also the ultimate example of the Peter Principle.

So far I tend to agree with you. However, as she gains experience with national politics my opinion may change.

That would be interesting and then they’d spend all their time blaming her side for the lack of debates.

She is Unquaylable!

Mrs. Palin has a steep hill to climb with independents.

That's a fact, and no amount of name-calling and troll-zotting can make it go away.

Her loyal followers can help with this process, which is already underway, or they can wreck it.

40% of the voters self-identify as conservatives. Most of the RINOs-McCainiacs take them for granted, or wish they could. Their strategies are too center-focused.

Our Lady of Wasilla can count on 40% to start, which puts her way, way ahead of any RINOs.

But she is going to have a tough time getting to 51.

After watching his performance in the Senate, I’m more interested in Jim DeMint.

“the ultimate example of the Peter Principle”

actually you might say he’s the failure of the Peter Principle that proves the rule. The Peter Principle was supposed to weed out the incompetents BEFORE they got to the highest office.
