Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race.
The former Alaska governor, in an interview Saturday on the sidelines of the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, said President Obama's "lack of experience" has held him back his first year in office and that she would put her credentials up against his any day.
"I would be willing to if I believe that it's right for the country," Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012. She qualified the statement, adding that she sees "many" other potential candidates who are "in as strong or stronger position than I am to take on the White House and if they're in a better position than I in three years, I'll support them."
But the former GOP vice presidential nominee told "Fox News Sunday": "I won't close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future."
She delivered the keynote address Saturday at the tea party convention, using it to hammer Obama as soft on terrorism. When convention organizer Judson Phillips mentioned the idea of "President Palin" in a question-and-answer session afterward, audience members leapt to their feet and burst into a chant of "Run, Sarah, Run."

The following list is from wikipedia, I just cant see anyone in there who might have a remote chance. The GOP must come up with somebody better than them, or Obama will sweep that election even if he screws up a lot more than up to now:
Sarcasm off.
I don’t know. Ryan is kind of young and his wife pushes him around.
This is how I see it, too. Right now, Sarah is coming across as somebody who really doesn’t want to become POTUS in ‘12 and beyond, if anybody “even better” does show up. I’m also bothered by those who still believe that it really can’t be anybody but Sarah for ‘12 POTUS. If Sarah eventually does officially decide against running for POTUS, then too many with the mindset of “nobody but Sarah” are going to have problems with the aftermath of such a decision.
Palin/Rice
Yes, that would definitely put a crimp in the Democrat ticket — regardless of who they pick.
I’m for getting all levels of government out of everybody’s life as much as humanly possible! Even better!
President Michelle “It’s time to slit our wrists” Bachmann?
“Only takes 49-50% to actually elect a president.”
Regardless of what percentage it takes, you’ve still got to get that many. I’m skeptical that Sarah can do it in 3 years or in 7 years, and in the big picture it doesn’t matter - as long as it’s someone who will be guided by the Constitution.
With the ongoing negative attacks against, both, Palin and Bachmann by the MSM, they really are doing something right. Ditto, John Bolton and Tom Tancredo. The better political candidates, at each and every political level, have the MSM really hating them big time.
Against who?
Another old man RINO?
An extreme right authoritarian--as far right as 0bama is left?
Another GOP candidate who will clutch defeat from the jaws of victory?
No, no, no Sarah! We don’t need a nother RINO to run for President. Your candidacy would be a disaster.
Please stay out of the race and keep Mitt, newt and Huckabee on the sidelines with you.
Five us a true Conservative in 2012 like Jim DeMint or maybe John Thune, not a failed RINO VP Candidate from the past.

Ypu are right, Palin could never win. Independents do not like her and view her as rather dim. Plus she isn’t a true Conservative. She still adores John McCain and supports Lindsey Graham, Charlie Crist and Joe Lieberman. I am puzzeld why all these allged Conservatives out still idolize this woman. She has alligned herself politically with the RINO base.
But I think there is someone who can win:
Jim DeMint has true Conservative track record and is fighting the Obama agenda tooth and nail. I think he’d be a fine choice. Nominating Palin would be opening the door to a huge Obama landslide in 2012
“You forgot Duncan Hunter, Sr., Senator Jim Demint, Alan Keyes, and Michelle Bachmann.”
All of those choice would be far mor acceptable to me than Palin. Although I don’t think Alan Keyes could ever win. He’s a good man, but far to right to gather support from Indipendents. I think Jim DeMint is the best choice. He can run with Michelle Bachman as his VP.
You must have voted for Obama.
Why is it anyone who calls Palin out for her RINO tenancies is a troll around her.
Too many people around here are doing with Palin what the Democrats did with Zero. She is put up on this pedastool as if she is the Conservative God.
Look carefully at her political alliances: John McCain, Charlie Crist, Lindsay Graham, etc. She is not the Conservative everyone think she is.
I think she is a good person with a good heart. But she is not Presidential material. I started to see the light when she resigned as Governor. A little bit o heat and she was out the door. If she bacma e President, the heat would be 10 folds of what she got as governor.
Then she sealed her coffin with me when she backed Mcain and Crist. That was her RINO coming out party.
1) balanced budgets
2) limited/just government
3) free/rational society
4) free markets
5) pro-God
6) God-given natural individual rights
7) pro-life
8) national security
9) pride in and love for America
“because she made it clear in her speech last night that
these were her principles.”
If those are her principals, why does she back Mcain and Crist????? A little two faced on her part.
What do you want? A 98% pure conservative of your definition? Who will get 2% of the vote?
Or maybe a 90% pure conservative of your definition?
Any conservative who could win will the national vote will not satisfy you because you demand perfection — which will result in 0bama or Clinton getting elected.
As to your criticism of your leaving the governorship, read her book, or maybe read this thread. And keep in mind that any very conservative candidate will have Saul Alinsky’s book of personal destruction tactics thrown at them.
