Listening to
some of this Tea Party gathering on CSPAN today. Just finished hearing a Peter Wolf of Voices of America talking and making some sense. Less taxes, less spending and less government are an important part of the conservative agenda. Organizing candidates and getting your message out to the voters is critical. Appealing to a wide range of voters across the political spectrum is also a good move.
My problem is, Mr.Wolf mentioned Scott Brown and his recent victory in Massachusetts. He mentions how Brown stuck to a campaign agenda of fiscal responsibility, while purposely staying away from other issues. I guess he meant issues like Roe v Wade and abortion on demand. Two issues Brown happens to support as Constitutional rights.
What I'm not hearing from Tea Party members are those aspects of conservatism that promote factors related to "Life and Liberty" concerns. These are also known as pro-life and right to life issues. Issues that Ronald Reagan made a priority during his three serious campaigns for the White House and issues he promoted time and again during his Presidency.
The Tea Party as an organization seems to give lip service to pro-life issues. They don't seem to give a priority to the protection of the unborn with the seriousness it deserves. As far as I can tell, its not an issue the Tea Party cares about.

Just got back from a Reagan Day Tea-party in Kalamazoo Michigan, and it was great!

Today is Ronald Reagan's 99th birthday!Fantastic start for today!
I have a very good feeling about the keynote address tonight from Governor Sarah Palin. There is something very special blowing in the wind and it includes God influencing events in our world. I dont think Snowmageddon is just coincidence.

Sarah is sugar-coating the issues and our passions. She needs to be calling for WAR. Not being politically correct and “polite”.
