I had the great honor of voting for him 2 times for Gov of California. And 3 times for President.
I miss you Mr. President.

Thank you President Reagan. Thank you and God bless you!
You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our childrens children say of us we justified our brief moment here; we did all that could be done.

That lifeguard photo was likely taken nearby around Dixon, IL where the family lived. Through September of last year our Kiwanis division had their monthly division meetings at Ron Reagan’s home church in Dixon. Quite an experience for this ol’ Reagan fan. Starting in October, we began meeting at the Dixon hospital.

When asked my age, I always proudly proclaim that I am a REAGAN baby. I have always given my brother crap for being born in 1979, under the term of the peanut farmer.

Oh, Dolly, thank you so much for posting this tribute to the most beloved POTUS of my lifetime!I remember hearing Ronald Reagan's speech A Time For Choosing
when I was a teenager. Thankfully, the Goldwater campaign had thought it was such an effective speech that they had it shown on television across the country.
My parents had always been interested in history/current events/politics, so I had grown up with an awareness of those things. But, seeing and hearing Ronald Reagan make this speech inspired me to become even more interested. I wanted to be able to vote for him for POTUS, and, thank God, I was able to do that very thing - twice!
Lord, how we thank You for Ronald Reagan, and how we miss him!
*******
Happy Birthday, Mr. President, with love and thanksgiving for your service to our great nation!

You're welcome, LucyJo...
The picture above is the back of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Ca. The column in the back looks very similar to an ICBM. Actually all of the columns around the Reagan Library have the look of ICBMs, and I believe that the subliminal message here is that because of Reagan's hardnosed policies vis-a-vis the old Soviet Union, Soviet missles are no longer aimed at the USA.

And you had to go and spoil it all by pointing out the other guy on the right. And we all know that the other guy was never to the right of our Gipper on anything.
Interestingly enough, I was in the other guys' Presidential Library last year, and I bought a bust of Reagan at the giftshop. You should have seen the look on the cashiers face.
