One of the real heartbreaking arias in all of opera. Puccini likes to write in strange keys. This one is in G-flat Major (or F# Major) if you prefer.

It’s the piano in the song I like the most.
That tune has stayed with me a lotta years..
I even think the piano is miked up to high...
Thanks!
I dont know why my copy-paste didn’t show up as a hyperlink, but I enjoyed listening to the song. His emotions are so authentic when he plays.
Dont know if you listened to it, but that is the “I am angry” breakup song, especially at the end.
There was a lot of amateurish engineering going on those days. It never should have been released in that condition.
Which one is best? I love them both:

Really,so much history with songs.
Now that you're gone
All that's left is a band of gold
All that's left of the dream I hold
Is a band of gold
And the memories of what love could be
If you are still here with me
You took me from the shelter of a mother I had never known
Who loved any other
We kissed after taking vows
But that night on our honeymoon
We stayed in separate rooms
I wait in the darkness of my lonely room
Filled with sadness, filled with gloom
Hoping soon that you'll walk
Back through that door
And love me like you tried before
Since you've been gone
All that's left is a band of gold
All that's left of the dream I hold
Is a band of gold
And the dream of what love could be
If you are still here with me
Ooh, don't you know that I wait in the darkness of my lonely room
Filled with sadness, filled with gloom
Hoping soon that you'll walk
Back through that door
And love me like you tried before
Since you've been gone
All that's left is a band of gold
All that's left of the dream I hold
Is a band of gold
And the dream of what love could be
If you are still here with me
Thanks, unique, for the Troops!

I Can't Help if if I'm Still in Love With You."
