I have seen these accounts before. I am starting to think that Jim Thompson and/or someone high up in FR is creating, ,or has created these accounts, to give anonymity to certain whistleblowers. Not all of them - just the occasional account.
I am not sure about this one. It does seem awful strange that an account started twelve years ago and has no other activity all of sudden pops up.
Or, it could be an account that the data was lost during one of the past crashes.
Of course, it could be a hacker too.
With FR all things are almost usually possible.

My first thought was a hacker. I don’t know if this is possible, but it sure is a mystery ;-)

All the ones I have noticed are people that I have talked with or read their posts in the past and there is an incongruity in the style and certainly opinion.
Most are subtlely in defense of dems with an offhand kind of style.

Has anybody else noticed a bunch of seemingly older accounts that ... Is there a rationale to maintaining the viability of inactive accounts? ... inactive accounts that are "virgin" over some period of, say, months? If someone creates an account presumably to post or reply, seems to me that they should use it within a month or so, or lose it (if they are legit, they can start over).

Even one year. That would work for those who travel on business or some other excuse.
